I dont think so, HDB did not release those site that you mention. This means that someone have bought it or HDB office is idle loh
The whole history of why shortage of HDB started when last recession, There are access of flats during that periods. Due to recession, a lot of poeple cannot afford to buy new flats and even construction industry is in debt. After that, government stop building flats.
Due to the good economy for last 1.5 years, everyone start to purchase flats as they have access money. In addition, more ppl get marry during this period too. This lead to a shortage when government also impletement more FT, PR and citizenship policy.
HBD did not learn their mistake on when to build more HDB, and when not to build. As they current intends to build more due to demand. But if they start build now, the average flats take 3-4 years to complete. As current situation, due to inflation, economy is going down. This will end up the same issue as last recession.
Why HDB never learn their mistake? If HDB is control by government, why dont they share information with government economic analyst, as I believe that singapre government have a good economic analyst group working for them.
How much does a HDB block COST anyway?

The ancient Ziggurat is coming alive in the 21st century, and it's all thanks to modern engineering. In the ancient times, the Ziggurat is the temple towers of the ancient Mesopotamian valley that is characterized by the receding pyramid stories. Today, a Dubai-based pioneering environmental design company, Timelinks, is creating the Ziggurat of the future - and it will be running using natural energy. The planned city of the future is projected as sustainable, being able to support up to one million people. The proposed city includes plans of not only reducing carbon usage, but also to accommodate complexes which can take up less than 10% of the original land surface. Apart from public and private landscaping, it is also seen to be used for both leisure and agricultural use. Timelinks claim that the modern-day Ziggurat can run entirely on steam, wind, and other natural resources. It will supposedly also be able to feature a super efficient public transportation system, which will be running both horizontally and vertically. The pyramid itself will be covering 2.3 square kilometers, and will be officially unveiled for the Cityscape Dubai event, which is running from October 6 to 9 of this year. |

If there is so many demand, why can government increse the number of new flats. Every single release of new flats site by HDB, the number of applicants applying are more than the quota.
As current Government new policy is to; increase birth rate, increase PR and increase citizenship. Without a place to stay, will that happen? Are our government only talk but no action, or they only interested on create townships for Foreign Worker.
they willing to stay in jurong bo?? lots of flat there what....

Is not the point of a lot of flats or not in jurong, just go to HDB web site and see, None is offer... This is singapore, no malaysia jungle, it is not that you see flats you like it, then you can buy it.
There are so many flats and apartments here that were left untaken. All because the people here wanted good houses, pretty designs, nice locations, here good that good everything good. The government will not splurge so much money just to satisfy these people demands.
