Biswajit Guha, assistant director, Singapore Zoo, said: "Prior to the incident, the zookeepers had actually noticed that the contract worker was behaving erratically.
"He was throwing things around and as he was walking out of the zoo, he passed comments like ’Goodbye, you won’t see me again’. He later cycled back and 5 minutes later, the alarm went off."

A nice way for him to commit suicide.

although they mentioned that they would kill the animal if a life is at stack... apparently, they think his life is worth less than the life they are stating...

white tiger very precious... foreign workers got a lot.... so, cannot shoot the tiger to save the worker lor..

Using the guns might not have been an option in this case:
The guns would have been kept in a secured place under lock & key. Given the short period of time that all this happened, there would not be enough time to get the gun, load it and ready for use. It would be too late. Furthermore, you risk shooting the guy when you try to shoot the tigers.
If what’s reported is true, that this guy’s mentally unstable, we should be thankful that he did not attempt to release the tigers out of their enclosure.
Anyway, you can’t blame the tigers for what they did. This guy dropped in, during lunch time.
The question is who is expandable, the tigers or the worker ?? The choice is obvious isn't it ?
he mistook the lions for some big soft toys ![]()
Why do you think the Malaysian worker jumped off the ledge into the water?

Where is the post mortem result? What was he smoking or drinking prior to his tragic end.Anyway this is less painful then jumping in front of an MRT train.
shoot the tiger is easy.
but the rifles are under lock & key. and not all their staff are licensed to shoot.
this bugger still can jump in, lie down, cover his face and just wait for the tigers to come for him...

These beautiful animals are about US$120,000 a head so if I had a rifle I would shoot the Malaysian guy (10 X) even before he could climb in.
