Yes, the tigers are not to blame. I dont know why the media is talking about isolating the tigers or something.

Not everyone feels comfortable to be on U-tube you know.
Not necessary possessed by ghost or spirits what
Even if you wanna die and commit suicide by jumping in front of the tigers but when the Tigers attack you, you can always get scared and chicken out coz you don't die immediately
i didn't read the news, but i heard something about him poking the stick at the tiger

Originally posted by Honeybunz:huh? when did his family say that?
it was in the chinese newspapers mah..think a few days ago..don't know what 五鬼 thingy..
that they thought that he was possessed..and, how they believed he won't commit suicide etc..
i think that they just want to claim for $$ lah..
cuz insurance payout is only based on if the worker is injured or died at work..but not based on if he/she commits suicide..
the video appeared on a china website.

That's what happens when people has too much pride not to question the job nature. Alot of accidents can be avoided if people dumped their pride/ego aside and start opening their mouth to ASK and QUESTION.
Mouth is not meant to be used for breathing/eating/drinking only, but it is there to help you to substain your life.
I think the method proposed above reeks of naivety and ignorance.
although a human life was involved in this case, i need to re-emphasize that it was the man's fault into climbing into the cage. he chose a reckless path, the consequences he face depends on his wit and adaptability. If he truly wanted to end his life, he would not have protected himself with a bucket. If he was deranged, as stated in the press, then he could have done at least something when he was in the path of danger. the average joe when faced with two tigers 5 m away will immediately sprint for the nearest exit. although the tigers will eventually catch up and corner the victim, the person will still hop and jump about the terrain and play "cat and mouse". merely crouching and using a plastic bucket to protect oneself is a sure doomed method. the man chose this way hence it would be hard to take action against the tigers for they are afterall, well-groomed but innately-animalistic animals.
also, to shoot the tigers would be to eliminate these rare breed of animals which i think are malayan tigers (correct me if i'm wrong) . it will be an emotional loss and financial loss for the zoo which will find it hard to replace such tigers.
although whose fault this incident is is clearly evident, i still empathise with the family of this man and want to extend my condolences. the moral of the story is always spend time with your family members, understanding their needs, worries and emotional states, this way we can prevent such things from happening.
