are you sure its that much? it depends on his qualification too. -
I can't see how the pay cut is affecting the civil servant badly .. they are among the better paid and receiving bonuses even in bad time .. I on the other hand had not receive any bonus for the last 10 years or so and I am going to lose my job. I will definately happy if they would just cut my pay . . . .

Hmm i think it's about 4k - 6k for him.. But i think it could reach 6k to 8k if his qualification is high..

An LTC taking the train.... so friggin' what?
Maybe his car is under repair, or his wife is using the car, or maybe he just wants to save money.... that's his problem. Why should anyone else care?
The only problem I see here is taking a photo of some high-ranking officer on the train, posting it online and making fun of him..... very STOMP-like behaviour, methinks.

LTC, no matter what your qualification, earns alot. there is only a big pay diff for the 2LT, LTA... after CPT, all about the same...

Actually its just an adjustment to align the pay with the amount of work they actually do.

Civil servants do take public transport. Nothing wrong that they take MRT.

White Ford Bluebirds or Proton Wiras are only given to COL rank. LTC not there yet.
But, you know when its really bad when u start seeing RSAF Majors with Pilot wings taking MRT.
