Singapore Flyer halted

THE Singapore Flyer grounded to a halt on Tuesday's evening, leaving over 100 passengers stranded in the air.
Rescue works began at about 8pm with passengers in the cabins nearer the ground being lifted out of the capsules in harnesses. The wheel had stopped after a fire broke out in the Flyer's control room.http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_317873.html

I'm sure there is a manual override mode, can't believe they would build something so big without a manual override.
