Just a wake-up call

well i think it is skill and alittle bit of luck that matter to be successful in life just take alook at warren buffett and bill gate they all not rich at first,it is hardwork.me play alot of chess last time the guy with less pieces actually win me i got like 2 castle he got like 1 and horse or something he understand how to every pieces move and where is my weak point and keep attacking and keep defend my move.

Err... for international chess... it's almost impossible to win with one horse alone, especially when you have 2 rooks.... unless you are really damn lousy...
Even with one more bishop, it's still near impossible with your 2 rooks. Most likely he has one more rook or queen.
It's not because he understand very well; it's because he had thought many more steps ahead of you before making his moves. I heard before that a grandmaster would think and consider 7 steps ahead before making his master stroke. Imagine the permutations!
I could normally play with at most 3 to 5 steps ahead... 7 is damn tough... and requires lots of patience!But me is mainly Chinese Chess player... long long time ago :(
