Think it was the Koryo hotel... Might be wrong. The hotel is huge, located along the river and had a full in-hotel casino.

It happened while I was taking a VSO on 56 way back.. Indian BC again though.. The other time was funny, I was taking another svc (cant rmb) I put in 60c. But one of my 10c I put wrong side in my wallet (in the notes section) and was adjusting, making it look like i was taking out more coins. Then he ask for card. and i said "wait lah. i adult you want see what card?? i still taking out coins you cannot see ah" hmm, was late that day so didn't bother much..lolx u pro wor

Wrong. Not same reason. For 291/293 the "official" reason was that people weren't getting to the upper saloon for just 4/5 stops(though I personally find that excuse senseless coz if the DD is full people will definitely go to the upper deck). Trees were definitely not a problem for Sv. 291 pre-change(the route before amending to serve St 84. Maybe it is coz the DDs are such a pain in an ass to turn St 84 to St 83(that ultra bloody tight corner). Sv. 293 also has tight corners(Ave 5 to St 71).
However there is no reason why Sv. 18 does not have DDs. Entire route is DD capable. Along Tampines Ave 7(also have Sv. 8, 21 and 37 DDs). Along Ave 2 there is Sv. 8, 17, and others. Virtually the entire route is DD doable. BNDep just has a shortage of DDs.
In a route where DDs are not employed, it is usually becoz of the prevailent road condition(sharp turns, etc. ).

ARBP/BBDEP - 183 DDs Buses
BNDEP - 207 DDs Buses
HGDEP - 184 DDs Buses
SLBP - 241 DDs Buses
In total
1) SLBP has the most DDs in depots
2) BNDEP (one depot also have the most lolx
so BNDEP not shortage of DDs after all -
