A flat top. That is the hairstyle I've donned for the past 20 years.
My hairstyle and my attitude are farther from today's "mainstream" than wearing a nose ring, using illegal drugs, being a "swinger", or pretending you hate people you don't even know. You'll need to decide for yourself whether I've made the right choices.
As for my fellow flat top men, the haircut seens to say, "I work hard and play hard. I'm a survivor. I am self-sufficient. I live intensely."
The flat top is usually a man's hairstyle. With its harsh lines and angles, a flat top suggests a work ethic, physical fitness, and an intense, serious approach to life.
Flat tops were especially popular in the conservative 1950's, and remain very popular in the military and among policemen. You'll see flat tops worn by high-up professionals and working men, and by guys of all orientations and ethnic backgrounds.
I have noticed that flat tops are especially popular with weight lifters, police officers, and professional military men. All are non-nonsense, self-sufficient, hard-working types.
When I pass a stranger with a flat top, I usually say, "Sir, that's a great haircut!" Almost always, I'll get a smile, and some reply that confirms the common bond among flat top men.
I'd recommend a flat top to all my fellow brothers.

flat top hairstyles is cool, but not suitable for every guy.
flat-top is best for guys who have more macho jawlines and a more squarish head.
for more feminine guys who have more delicate / lady-like features, it is an absolute no-no.
imagine those pretty boys from taiwanese boybands having flat-top hairstyles.
