Hello! Hows it going? I'm new!
I have three days to spend in singapore!
Although I have read a few travel guides... I would like to know what you think I should do, so I can make a decision on a schedule!
I have seen a previous topic on "24 days in singapore", but wasn't bowled over by its comprehensiveness!
I was in need of a holiday (after graduating from university and currently in a training year), and would like to go to singapore as I haven't been and it is a "distant" homeland (my grandmother is from singapore). Also, my ex was born in singapore, and talked about it quite frequently. Please note: I will be travelling by myself and travelling after next week!
Thanks!
I think it's worth doing the following:
1 day (from morning) - Singapore Zoo and the night Safari
1/2 day - Sentosa and cable car
1/2 day - Jurong bird park
1 day - Visiting different spots including The Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, etc and shopping (Orchard and Chinatown)
welcome, please bring more money
WE NEED YOUR MONEY
Please come to Newton to have our famous dish 'Tiger Prawns'.. Heehee..
I believe Chinatown, Little India & Malay Village would be a good place to visit..
and bevery careful when shopping for items. please avoid sim lim square, sim lim tower, and lucky plaza.

I think this will be how some bad sheeps will react whenever they see foreigners with a camera and a sg map tucked in their back pocket..
when I was in Japan, my tour guide gave this advice, if U see locals buying, means the price is okay. if U see locals queuing for the food, then it should be good.
Here, go for stores which have prices clearly displayed.
if U are not sure, walk away. Once U start bargaining, be prepared to honour.

I think go esplanade, go the singapore flyer, geylang serai?, china town, clarke quay, cityhall.... depends what you want. esplanade got art. singapore flyer is just an observation thing. geylang serai and china town nothing much. clarke quay has clubs and some interesting shows. cityhall got shopping. depends on what are you interested in more? art? history? heritage? heritage musem!! thats a must. battle box etc...
For water sports, you can go east coast park and go cable ski http://www.ski360degree.com/ . you can go red dynasty for paintball http://www.weplaypaintball.com/ This is if your interested in sports and activities. If your into clubbing, there is Zouk, Zirca (MOS closed down), Arena, Double O, The Clinic (smthing Like that). Shopping? Mustafa centre? haaa :P
Hi, since you are travelling yourself, it might be nice to get yourself lost in Singapore.
Boosting the efficient transport system, you can do some exploration, get yourself lost in the Housing estates, check out the different paint scheme and different build of the flats.
The zoo, night safari, bird park are all nice places to go too.
You can always do the oh-so-popular shopping at the local shopping scene. Get a taste of what it is like to stay so near to the city centre that shopping isn't exactly a chore. Check out the girls, do some drinking at pubs.
Check out your bargaining skills at Sim Lim Square, hunt down for the local night market (Pasar malams). Lots of things to do.
Food wise, don't have to go to the popular places like newton circus to eat. There are many other much better food elsewhere.
3 days too much already la
2 days can finish the whole singapore already
