Hi guy/lady, i would like to put 2k to 1 of singapore bank but I don't know which bank to choose. Can you guy tell me which bank is the best?
interest rate doesn't matter
even if you put in fixed D, it only gives you 0.5% (roughly) p.a., which is about $10
2K won't get you sh|t in interest rates.
Nowadays even 50K won't give u a rat's ass.
Soon to come, banks will be asking you to pay them to keep money with them instead.![]()
buy a penny share with your 2k.
in time it will prove much more lucrative than bank interest.
Can just simply buy trusts or REITs
I planning to invest 3k into this trust which should give nearly 14% returns p.a.
all crappy rates lah
oni 2k nia...... not even enuf to 塞牙 leh
is the TS a 10-yr-old kid?

10 YOs are not allowed to open bank accounts without their parent's consent.![]()
invest mine in ntuc income, they giving 2 % interest ![]()
also cover under insurance
All the rates are like shit now lah, unless you put in overseas banks. Even then, I think the economic crisis will affect the rates also, so just keep your money in your wallet.
I just went to bangkok and spent about 1k there for 2/3 days only. So 2k is not a lot of money, unless you scrimp and save.
maybe TS is born in 1998
So this year 11 years old?

1) put any bank, the rate r all the same for saving accounts...
2) park in a listed company, n earn their dividends...

now too late for that
I'm waiting for the right price for CitySpring though. This is for 10 years horizon, so if you are going for short term, don't bother

14% P.A sounds too good to be true. Dont take everything at face value of prospectus from trust funds.
Gent Int - u just missed the good time to buy it.

Try POSB bank. It's quite safe.
But I'm not sure what you meant by the best, I know they don't hire the handsome and the beautiful. ![]()
try the ocbc-ntuc savings.
the highest non fixed deposit savings ( i think) in singapore, 0.5%.
