Serial killer Puzzle

Here's a small game for all of u.
There are 5 of u in a remote countryside motel for a few days. All 5 of u arrived there under different circumstances eg. passing through, holidays travelling ect. one day things started to go wrong. All the phone lines are down. There is no handphone coverage and electricity failed. There is a serial killer or group of people killing people in the area. the motel owner is the 1st victim. The nearest aid one can go is the main road but passing cars are once in a blue moon. The killer has access to locked doors and nowhere is safe. So u cannot hide together in the basement or room as it will make it easier for them to set the place on fire. Your cars have little or no petrol to make it to the nearest aid or refilling station and your cars have been punctured by the stalkers. U cannot walk tot he main road as it is not safe too.
What is the best strategy u can adopt till the nearest aid arrive while trying to stay safe?

I would pack a few survival items - water, food, torch, clothes, map and all. And take off to the nearby woods, since it's a remote countryside. Would probably not wander too deep into the woods, just stay around the safe perimeter away from the killer.
Patience and discipline... Just wait it out till aid arrives...

I like this kind of smart thrillers, looking out for em.
