New Zealand can supply Singapore with very, very pure potable water in bulk 24,000 litre bags. How much would you pay per cubic meter or litre landed in Singapore ?. Our source is renewable, certified Organic, Carbon Zero rated, sustainable and has lonly 78 parts per million of total natural solids.
Cheers
Richard
Why in the world would we expend the money and effort to import water all the way from New Zealand?
What exactly is the purpose of certifying water as organic and carbon zero rated?
What exactly is sustainable water?
Singapore now has endless supply of water from various sources.
we can supply technology,as well as water later.
Thank NZ water.Pl keep for your country.

Any alternative proposal is a good idea.
How much is New Zealand gonna charge per litre? If the cost is going to be higher than wat we can get from our taps.. then it is only logical to simply sell bottled NZ potable water like what we get from grocery stores.
Some answers :
The huge range of imported bottled water (from all parts of the world) for sale in Singapore has a large carbon footprint.
New Zealand can meet this demand with shipping very high quality water to you in bulk. Our exported water is surplus to our needs - therefore sustainable. We only use 3% of all the water our country is blessed with.It is so pure it is certified organic.

Then how do you plan to ship all that water to Singapore? Convert oil supertankers into water supertankers? Their carbon footprint is not very small either.
Notice I said ship..... please don't try to pull anyone's legs by talking about an undersea potable water pipeline from New Zealand all the way to Singapore.
Regarding things like selling water on such a big scale, wouldn't it be more appropriate to write to the relevant authorities or ministries?
Or are you targetting to sell a few bottles to people to surfing sgforums? ![]()

Any advantages of small carbon footprints is immediately negated by the fact you need huge tankers to bring them here.
Quite frankly i don't really see any advantages to drinking bottled water here, especially when it's safe enough that we could drink straight from the tap.
Isn't it more environmentally friendly to not drink bottled water in the first place?
Water - great feedback !!
No a pipeline is not planned !!. Shipped bulk water has a fraction of the carbon footprint that small glass or PET bottles have.Tap water is fine - however why are billions of small bottles of water sold ?. At least a switch from sugar drinks (Coke) to water reduces obesity.
Single-skin bulk tankers have never been cheaper, and are ideal for bulk water transport.
Who is the right person to contact in the Singapore Ministry ?
Cheers
Richard
the ship is going to just miraculously warp space and time into singapore.. without the need of fuel.. which leaves tons of carbon...
zero carbon rated?
ahahaahahha!!

Do you have any friggin' idea just how much fuel a #$*&$$% tanker burns in one single journey?
And do you know why mineral water is shipped in bottles to begin with? Because they are meant only for commercial sale as an alternative to domestic water supplies.
If your idea held any water (lame pun fully intended), it would have been implemented a long time ago.
Don't worry.
If the movie Star Trek is to be believed, in the future, anything can be beamed from place to place in an instant.
Beam the water up, Scotty. ![]()
The quality of debate is robust
This is a successful initiative in New Zealand and now Europe and the world.
For all trans-global shipping, the future challenge is to power ships with bio-diesel and sail.
New Zealand bio-diesel is produced on land that has not had a history of grain crops and has grown no trees for 300 years.Bulk water exports are a far better option to shipping small PET or Glass bottles. The bulk water could be bottled in Singapore into returnable bottles.Have you seen how water is sold by the City Zurich - stainless steel ?.
I think the reason bulk water shipping has not happened yet is a lack of visionary entrepreneural spirit !!
Cheers
Richard
There's something seriously wrong with Singaporeans if there's a market for this sort of water.
Singapore is so powerful that water from toilets can be filtered and treated to be drunk again ![]()

btw.. if you tried to sell us a solar-powered super water filtration device which is really carbon neutral, sure...
you're going to SHIP the goddamned water here..
you still don't get it do you?
SHIP the goddamned water...
already the shipping and transportation is spewing tonnes and tonnes of carbon dioxide into the air from burnt fossil or bio-fuel...
and you harp on about being carbon neutral??
your idea is about as idiotic as that moron Woody Harrelson who refused to wear new non-carbon neutral clothes and got a private jet to fly his personal "organic and carbon neutral clothes" to him... now see what we are getting at?
if you don't, i've got a few used cars i can sell you...

Ah, I see. So you're the one with the 'visionary' entrepreneurial spirit.
In your next venture, you're gonna sell freezers to Inuits, rite?

I think you'd be better off selling biodiesel instead of water.
In Christchurch I have spoken to people who live here, who are Singapore born and Singapore passport holders. They love the taste of our pure water and would like to buy it in Singapore. They like the idea of bulk transport in 24,000 litre bags to be bottled in Singapore and later using bulk ships.
In Joo Chiat pubs, I have spoken to some kiwi guys who come here for fun, all kiwi born and hold kiwi passport, they love the taste of our gals and would like to open pub such as ours in their own country. They really like to idea of setting up an all asian pubs with we supplying asian gals to them.
