i think japs got nice beautiful girls but most cant cook but think the gals back in 1980s were more beautiful lookin than todays jap gals from tv.

I think most singaporeans can't really work well in Tokyo, esp guys but the problem now is, what if ure someone who dosen't like the way Singaporean work. I myself experienced working style in Tokyo, there is just this energy that keeps me going on over there, the seniors in NEC agreed too. Basically thanks to those of u who replied letting me know that life in Tokyo can be hard. But basically for someone like me who has the nature of living a Japanese lifestyle. Short Ninja : =_=lll that was a discouraging thing to say, im just setting up my 1st stage to get closer to tokyo... im 22 only, too young to migrate... just getting at most a work permit. Tokyo will not welcome me as a PR for sure (that applies to all country even Africa) BUT Tokyo will welcome me as part of their society. =) Eagle: LOL i think once you know jap you shd quickly stay there, i myself learn Jap before too, now other than basic greetings, objects... the rest i cfm return back to CC le... LOL Terminator: If you have no skills there, yes they will hire u for these. But for me i got my foundation well I know Percussion (drumset), fine culinary, Electronics (networking aka cisco) and abit more this and that, but with this 3 major i can choose to work in Telco, Bar, Restaurant I think these guarentees everyone my safety of why i choose to go Tokyo. If you guys can let me know the details on migrating please please post it here and let me and everyone else know. Coz if i know i can only have work permit and not PR, i might consider to let go of my dreams...

haha i like this one. Frankly speaking, I have friends study + working there for ard 10 yrs told me the same thing too. I heard their insurance also screw up one. To me, japan is only a place good for holiday, nothing more than that. -
the ple ter are definitely way more more more more polite than sporeans.
be it natural or fake, at least, u feel comfortable in it.
but, their expenses are bloody hell high.. so unless u have a high paying job, if not...

Tokyo may be a tough place for many, but it is definitely a better place than many other countries on earth.

Basically japan can survive, esp in cisco line =D other jobs too, + when i was there i cool my meal almost every night. So i get to save more then the others. after im stable with tokyo i'll definitely move out from that place, coz i don't wanna rent apartments forever LOL

i have also worked in japan for a year (last year). though it is fun being there, but still singapore is still where my family and friends are. i rejected their request to extend my stay there.
it is one thing doing internship there and another thing if you plan to work there. i see foreigners from developing countries being discriminated against. you must have something to contribute, else you will be considered as a competitor against locals in their workforce. japan is not an open economy like singapore who welcome foreigners with open arms. they are now paying brazilians to return to their country and never to return to japan and work. it is difficult to get a PR there, and almost impossible to even achieve citizenship.
this is their way of preserving their culture, heritage and tradition. and to minimize undesirable influences from foreigners.

I like flings: wow i like ur style of living, LOL! how long u stay in tokyo? u mean no work permit no visa u can stay there for a long period until they send u back? Mochi_cake: Ur work is u go there then find or? coz i plan to do so, tts y i prep 1/2 year jobless cash with me =D

No country and nobody can beat the way the Japanese service people so as a tourist damn shiok! but as an Immigrant or Expat or cheap labor or anything else under the label of 'Gaijin' congratulations!!! you have just made yourself a true blue Bangla even if you were born in Kandang Kerbau Hospital.
