our ruling party makes the most ungrateful govt - take so much from us and what they give us in return is all the ill treatment. They are all the way for foreigners, protecting foreigners but not protecting locals who feed them.

Race is not the issue here, it's the command of the International business language we call English. It is this very attitude that requires our government to bring is Caucasians to do the higher management jobs and pay them insane amounts of money because the locals here speak or at least try to speak a form of English that noone can comprehend.
A person can speak more than one language effectively - that's my very point. LKY is a classic example he speak 3 languages proficiently.
I speak 4 languages but mandarin ain't one of them.
went to cheers outlet that day and the counter staff was a PRC guy, and i can't tell, cos' he's quite trendy and loooks like average poly kid, until i spoke english to him and he blur-blur, and answer everything in chinese, so i thought something is fishy.
HOWEVER, he is friendly, shows smiling face, pretty warm etc.....so i don't give a dang to the fact that he can't speak english.
IMO, if i had to choose between good service or english-speaking, i would choose the former. it's better than looking at some Singaporean who speaks english but shows you trashy-looking black sour face.

ON THE OTHER HAND, the gahmen is going overboard by opening our doors completely to encourage foreigners to come to SG. instead of giving jobs to foreigners, the jobs can be given to retirees and the elderly.
i just found out today that PRCs who study 3 full years in local polys can become PRs here.
this is just insane. at this rate, foreigners will outnumber Singaporeans 10 to 1.
look at Amara hotel foodcourt......95% (approx 8 / 10) of the stall helpers are PRCs.
