Temperature to freeze a corpse

What is the temperature that is needed in order to freeze a corpse so that it won't decompose?
My cousin's pet cat recently died and she like it so much that she did not want to bury him.
She is thinking of freezing the body so that it won't rot. What temperature is required to do so?
She is thinking of putting the cat body in the top part of her fridge, the part which is colder than the bottom part which is used to store ice cream.
Will that be cold enough to prevent the cat body from rotting?

I doubt so. Most of the time if you wanna really freeze something, you need something much lower than 0. Putting in the freezer at most slows down but i don't think will prevent rotting.

the freezer is less than zero degree what that is why it can freeze ice cream

You need liquid nitrogen, -196 degrees celcius, to properly freeze it

Its not much lower and that difference if any isn't significant. If everything so easy, we won't be needing liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen already

Freezing doesn't stop the decomposition process, it only slows it down. You can try freezing a small packet of meat by chucking it in the coldest part of your freezer, 2-3 months later I gurantee it will still turn rotten. If you want to make things easier, try keeping an egg.
You need something that can freeze at near absolute zero, that will really slow it down, obviously you can't get that from your home freezer which usually goes up to -18 degC only.

Embalming. Whereby you remove the innards, blood and all that stuff in the body that can decompose and turn the body into an exploding methane ball.
Then you treat the skin with chemical to slow down the process. Thats how funeral wakes can leave bodies lying in the coffin for a week before the actual funeral. -
