If there are company confidential info than it is legitmate to go thru certain steps.
This is a very simple to work on....You used sublte way thru personal message to let him/her know that you don't appreciate that he look into your computer content, and than if he is so dumb he cannot get the message than you do it more direct by telling him "Please don't look into my computer" Than if he still do it. Than you can escalate to the HR.

I also have one such indian colleague always peeking into what i'm doing when i'm looking at the screen . once he even log into my company email to check if i ever complain to him abt him anot , tried complaining to my supervisor but they have been " bribe " by him as my colleague help him do alot of their own work so my supervisor refuse to take any action . Really regret i didn't complain to my mamager or HR . But after my other colleague who are on my side complain agn to my supervisor , he sort of abit scared already , but still can't kick the habit of peeking into what i doing . Really would like to know what else to do to stop him from doing anymore such things .

I tok to my boss. He ok with me buying the screen. Ya, very ex.. I checked. 3M one is more than 100 bucks.
