recovering from flu so I better try to get some sleep ....to be continued
Went into Malaysia with my landlord early yesterday morning.
Have I ever mentioned that he loves old stuff?
He bought me to this place called Cendol Factory. And they do serve fairly good Chendol. The place is pretty modern with Chendol green coloured walls and dark modern furniture with some old type furnitures for decoration.
I was still suffering from the effect of my dentist trip in JB, so didnt take pictures. I was eyeing a particular old style drawer unit there and landlord tells me. He was eyeing that piece of furniture too!
And when I was flipping thru the 2007 year Malaysian Her World Magazine. It mentioned some old places and stuff that is no longer in Singapore!
Landlord was telling me how he cannot find a particular Macdonalds ad from Youtube. And I remembered a bit about it.
There was a bunch of school kids supposedly going to the zoo (We all know zoo never had macdonalds outlets.) It started to rain and teachers and kids all cramp into a macdonalds outlet and had fun with some macdonalds kids meals toys. When the rain kinda stopped. The children all put on rain boots and duck yellow raincoats, and sang something like a duck song and lined up and walked thru the puddles of rain like little duckies following their teachers.
Then just now. I was flipping thru Weekender Today newspaper (provided free to town area residents).
They showed a particular room in Chendol Green wall and wallpapers. Nicely done up.
I really want to get my own place and paint it Chendol Green and mix is with maybe wallpapers that is Singapore old Army Uniform Camo greens!
I should have stolen the Her World Magazine from the Cendol Factory cafe.
Now I can't seem to remember what was in that magazine that mentioned old Singapore thingy. Gawwwwww!

Singapore was the bully kecik team in the Malaysia Cup up till the 70s.10 long years never lost a single game at the Kallang Stadium until David Lee let in one through a corner and Kelantan became the first team to beat Singapore fair and square (No kelong but got referee kayu)
