I guess initially he failed to see the importance of the English language.
English is universal. It is the number one language for communication globally.
I don't know besides colonization, what else did the Brits do to make English an international language. Kudos to that

Greek and Latin long gone and one day Mandarin would definitely be the Universal language but for the moment it is English and it is here to stay for quite a while, like it or not.

I don't buy the concept of "universal" language and I am opposed to english being dominant language in Singapore.
It is due to that anglo bastard Lee Kuan Yew.
He should learn to speak our language.
We are the majority.
Not we majority go and speak his mother fucking minority colonial language.
That fucking bastard Lee Kuan Yew.
I have a score to settle with that mother fucker.
Lee Kuan Yew.
Don't even dream on selling your mother fucking propaganda on language to me.
I know your real agenda.
Don't even mother fucking dream.
You dream also don't go and dream.

It is pretty obvious that you oppose just to oppose and make so much fuss about usage of language.
You have not replied to my question:

Why have you no guts to answer me? Is it very difficult to answer the above question?
If you have no suggestion on what language we should speak then I think you should just keep your mouth shut and stop being so irritating.
If there is no universal language, people in the world will not be understood. Tell me why is it that you are so adamant to oppose English to be the universal language?
YOU are very problematic. Think it is not so much of language spoken, i see that it is the attitude you have that is causing you all this unhappiness about languages spoken.
Since you are so full of unhappiness about language spoken, please create your own angel3070 language and let us all learn to speak that and make it universal.

I don't think so
If English is rojak then we have been learning rojak in school and speaking rojak.
English is not Singlish. The Europeans may have different ways of speaking English but English is definitely not the "Singlish" of Europe.

English is new language formed about 1,200 years ago mostly roots words from other European languages and is still growing with borrowed words from other countries. That is what I meant by rojak.

Ok, now I get what you mean when you said rojak.
It is confusing these days ' to train SINGAPOREANS to speak english' ....which 'type' of singaporeans are we talking about? The singaporeans that govt refer to are the NEW SINGAPOREANS....the old average singaporeans are dead...dead in spirit and dead in nationalism.......as their exisitence have been replaced by new singaporeans

So a rojak language for example like Singlish has neutrality which is why it is easily catched on.

Think it is acceptable for languages to borrow some words from other languages. The Japanese language borrows some words from Chinese language.

All languages does it especially if the language that they borrow from got power one but sometimes at the expence of their own language, take a look at Laos for example

The original people of South East Asia looked like the malays or you could say were the malays. When you hear people speak Thai or Vietnamese from a not so audible distance you might think they were speaking in a chinese dialect but for Burmese you could tell right away cuz it is oddly different.

I can identify the dif between thai and burmese languages.
Even in Philippines there is one more language besides tagalog which borrows words from Malay language.
