Disagree. Everyone is making a rational choice before going into a r/s. And anyone who wants to go into a serious relationship will look at an array of attributes and character traits instead of only looks. examples are looks. ability to earn, work ethnic, how family oriented etc etc.

current assets and ability to earn is usually put into a category under "security" by females.
social status - famous men always get the babes be it for money or glam/fame (jus see the footballers)

Of cos the emphasis on the traits will be different for everyone.
Girls seem more discerning probably because they expect more... cos they have the right to. Much have changed in society, but guys having to take up responsibility, be it financially, problem solving etc etc. Girls have the right to say :"I want to be taken care of." guys dont. LOL. i am not saying its wrong, its just the way it is.

Yes, i like good looking girls, which explains the obsession with beauty ads placed on the newspapers and in other media vehicles.
further, getting a good looking partner is part of mankind's quest of survival of the fittest, in this case the better looking couples are prized over the uglier ones.

Younger days maybe, but when you get older, thinking will change.
Those who says heart first then looks actually do concern over the looks one lor... Don't tell me you will date 100% cmi face but 100% good & kind heart (although there are no perfection) but it's fact~
