Reason is that there are so many courses which poly students are unfairly not allowed to enter, or odds of entry are ridiculously low.
Maybe they should raise the GPA from 4 to 4.5 : D
If i close JCs, obviously the unis have no choice right :p
Poly courses are increasing all the time. For all u know there might be medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, law etc diplomas that give poly students advance standing in uni in future :p

Hi dkcx,
Ngee Ann poly does offers a Pharmacy Science Diploma, Temasek poly offers a Law and Management Diploma and Nanyang poly offers a Dental Hygiene and Therapy Diploma.
Unfortunately, they do not have any advance standing in getting into the related courses in local universities - In fact, medicine is the only degree with polytechnic students entering out of the 4 you mentioned.
Cheers.

U sure?
I thought i remember reading about poly student entering dentisty or pharmacy this year.
Anyway i talking about the near future as more n more top scorers move towards poly education and the poly continuous tieups with overseas universities to offer direct degrees etc. Nothing is impossible.
10 yrs ago poly was the place that most go to only because they could not enter JC. 10 yrs later now its already almost on par. Who knows what 10 yrs into the future will be like.

Hi dkcx,
My humble apologies for the misinformation.
It seems that there is indeed roughly about 5 poly students entering NUS pharmacy every year, and there are students ( Or student, in dentistry's case ) who entered law and dentistry as well.
