That is why I always tell my technicians that just because they don't have high qualifications does not means that they are no good. For me, quality of work and ability to come up with solutions to problems encountered in work is the most important. Got PhDs and 1st class honours but cannot solve problems is useless to me. Of course such people thinks otherwise.

This is based on three "PhD and 1st class Honours monkeys" out of the millions in the world.
Tell me, when one drop of water lands on your head, do you go telling the world that you're in the middle of a hurricane? Do you now realise how stupid your statement is, or don't you have the common sense to see it?

Simple problem solution, look for pri school kids, school dropout, ITE, O level, Poly.
Complex problem such as quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, Fourier transformation, photonics, then look for PhDs and 1st honours to solve.
Different people have different skill sets. So a car mechanics knows how to repair car, his skill sets are not inferior to nuclear scientist who know how to put a thermo reactor.
Pay depends on the rarity of the talents, for example how many people can sing like MJ, that why his fortune is there.
Every1 is smart in their own way, just that the SINGAPORE society focus too much on academics.

I'm not disputing that those three fellas might not be able perform simple tasks.
I'm disputing your assertion that because they are monkeys, all the PhDs and 1st Class Hons grads in the whole world are monkeys as well.

(on a side note, sometimes people set traps for ppl to fall in, ppl can act that they dun know sh*t and see the reaction of the ppl to it and by doing so one can see who can do work/who cannot do work/who to trust/who to be on guard/etc. So you may think they are stupid that they can't come up solution to simple problem but at the end of the day, you may be the biggest loser. I happen to kena this before)
