My conversation with Chee Soon Juan today

Today when I went to Raffles Place Golden Shoe to have my lunch, I was suprised to see Chee Soon Juan and his party down there trying to sell their party newspaper.
Me: Is this free?
Chee Soon Juan: It cost $2
Me: Nevermind than
Chee Soon Juan: Buy from us and show us your support. Elections is coming.
Me: Its ok. I already know all the crimes that the PAP do. Bring in foreigners to steal our jobs and bring down wages, increase their own salary, increase GST etc. There is no need for me to read your newspaper.
Me: I will show you support by voting for opposition party in the next election. But my place is not under your party, its under Mr Low party but I will still be voting for the opposition.
Than when I was queing for my food, I saw Chee and his party going around asking people to buy his newspaper but nobody want to buy.
So poor thing.

Kudos to you for excersing your sacred freedom - to vote freely for a representative of your own choice.
As for pity, just remember - if the wrong guy gets elected, you will be the one to be pitied.

you ned tohave some advertisement on papers to cover for tthe printing and stories writing editorial costs. for people earning money off newspaper they need to have more ad and higher costs for the paper. unless the paper in mandarin using the internet to ad on his ideas and stories on paper is better since most english readers should be able to access the internet.
as for the stories and claims it will be better if he has got feedback and accounts of what happened with statistics, and interviews from reliable sources. not just like getting some tom dick harry to speaker just because he / she sttain some office title or what. if its an opposition i will vote i probably will look at other parties, definitely not one with this guy at the helm. we want solutions, not jealousy. if the leehawlians and ccebaichuan switch places, people will still react the same why. its just like whether you choose to eat barchormee with chopsticks or fork.

A couple of weeks ago, I met Dr.CSJ and his party members down at AMK central hawker central selling the newspaper as well. He was saying in chinese "don't let the government bully you".

Will NEVER vote for CSJ, can't imagine Singapore running under the rule by a group of newspaper sellers.
I rather Singapore be governed by the current ruling party than any tom, dick or harry.
At least the current ruling party has more experience in governing Singapore and more capable than the opposition.
Take a look and compare the unity of both ruling party and opposition parties. Shouldn't take you long enough to start voting for the ruling party.

He is selling newsletters to raise funds, nothin shameful about that, its proper and not against the law
SGreans are always bullied by the gahmen n tts a sorrowful truth/fact that people living in this red dot has to bear with until credible opposition whip the ruling elite into engaging SGreans rather than create a climate of fear
As i already said in my posts in other threads, the opposition should strike first and start their manifesto and get SGreans interested in what they have to offer instead of letting the ruling elite have a head start! -
