Any cheap and good hotel to recommend?

  Looking for a cheap and good hotel for a weekend stay with the family

  Anyone has suggestions?

  family = with kids?
  purpose = ? (if need to swim, eat, then must go to at least 4-star places to have pool)
  cheap = subjective (maybe $300 is cheap to you but ex for me)
  good = subjective (same logic as above)

  Have to apply right? but families overnite not convenient. even if we were to go out like that i also will not approve of it if overnite. I still prefer indoors if have to sleep over. no overnite what you want to do. suntan swim or just stroll along the beach. i can make a video and take some photos make a montage for you.

  he has not made up his mind, to bring family or lover.

  my advise :

  bring your family - hotel 81 or chalet because your family will not run away even if you bring them to ulu ulu places.

  bring your lover - shangri-la hotel or 5 stars hotel or your lover will run away saying you cheapskate.

  i also support Hotel 81. but i dun no the fees. Hotel 81 better for lover. wish u have a good night sleeping.

  A lot of good local 4-5 star hotels have weekend promotions, pricing usually ranges from $100-250. You can start with the millenium group of hotels, amara, and royal plaza at scotts.

  So which is cheaper to book on line or just walk up to the counter? As I am planning to bring some 'friends' over to Singapore and I dont want them to stay with me at my own house.

  Its cheaper to book online, do check the hotel website for online rates also, it might be lower than packaged deals sometimes. Same rule applies for booking overseas hotels as well.

  Its good to learn how to plan your own holidays sometimes, takes a little more time, but you learn that you'll save alot more cash and become more travel hardy in experience.
