Well, at least she has an idea of where to go now for the next part of her life, and that itself is good enough already.
There are plentiful of ppl who wasted a decade or so of their life not knowing where to go.

I know what I am doing and where I am going now.

Well, at least its good that she know and understand what she wants. People, like me, are still hesitating and trying to understand what I want. ![]()
I still dunno where my passion lies sia, chiong so hard for O Levels, go to best course in NP and then feels like it is a torture. Can anyone help me find my passion? LOL ![]()
if people are passionate and happy about it, it is up to her, as long as she is happy, we should wish her all the best.
didn't another char bor did tat.
Grad from NP Nursing. She studied in JC until almost towards her A levels tat she decided to jump ship.
MYOB...
is this even a topic for discussion? get a life...why do people meddle in other people's affairs? go do volunteer work if you people are so eager to give comments

she went to SMU to study accounting, but gave up after 2 months as she is doesnt like crunching numbers. after more than a year of soul searching, she enrolled to study at Ngee Ann Poly childhoon education, where her passion lies. she graduated from Ngee Ann Poly with a GPA of 3.99, where the maximum one can get is a GPA 4. now she is enrolled for Wheelock College where she will study for a degree in childhood education. she is now 24 and due to start her course in July.
With her excellent academic grades, she could apply to study at any of the top universities around the world, do you think its wasted that she followed her passion instead? she got passion in teaching young children.
I believe as long as its wot you like, its not a waste of time. Considering she was doing something in between. Besides, she doesn't have 2 years of her life to burn for NS...
tbh, at the end of the day follow where ur heart and passion goes.
If everything is all for nothing but $$ or monetary terms, u might not feel happy when u starting looking back yrs down e road.
passion is the thing you'll hate when you're old and not rich
Its hard to find out what you might be passionate about when you're still studying. A lot of my friends in University take degrees that they eventually never used when they started working. Just to put up some numbers for the sake of people who like to see numbers ... 10% of each graduating batch of students in medicine don't even medicine and go onto other things.
With regards to poly vs jc. Despite going to rjc myself (whats with all the rjc posters here?), if i had to choose again, i would have chosen poly instead of jc. Getting a poly diploma gives credit to shorten the duration of university courses overseas, JC does not.
