I was walking across a road with green light in my favour this afternoon near Funan IT mall.
A couple of India tourist ask me in the middle of the road for road direction to city hall MRT. Can you believe it?? I ignore them and quickly walk off
The green man was flashing and a Benz was waiting for us to clear and turn right in another direction. This group of idiot want us to all get killed in the middle of road.
I think we singaporean are going to get slam for being rude by foreigner for ignoring their question and not helpful...
This batch of idiots never look at their own action first.

You could have told the tourist that they were standing in the middle of a busy road. And you could help if we all stepped to the pavement where we won't obstruct traffic. Simple.

Imagine the tourist are Australian ,asking direction in the middle of the road. As a sinaporean with basic common senses, trying to save yr own life and ignore his question and walk away quickly.
The Australian thinking you are rude and go back start to label Singaporean as rude or inconsiderate. I wouldn't say all the thing reported by them as false. But definitely some of the news reported are questionable and they need to review their own action first.

Har? I doubt any guy driving a benz and have unlimited amounts of money will go to that kind of trouble to knock someone as insignificant as you down. Honking at you is easier than making a report, engaging a lawyer, go thru months and tonnes of paperwork, just to prove himself not guilty.

maybe they are really hum ji to go up front and counter the points or simply
typical singaporeans when faced with confrontation, first things come out of the mouth
are knnbccb, or , ur mother this la ur mother that la...and its these idiots who got us
labelled as rude people...oh well..every society has their black sheep...so someone

You suddenly ask them come toward the direction and they get confused why you suddenly ask them come over and they will get froze at stand at the road being frozen and the benz decide to roll over them thinking they have the right of the way. Worst, the tourist might be too confused and drag my arm and prevent me from going away and I will have the same fate at the mercy of the benz.
Plus, I am walking in their opposite direction and I am just some ordinary human being, in a split second, its matter of life and death. Thinking of being helpful and courteous is secondary and in such fast happening situation, only yr life is number one priority.
Or are u going to tell me. You will be so helpful that you will give up yr life just to be helpful?

Obviously, u have not met enough rude or reckless driver in singapore.Have you ever try try walking across a zebra crossing and all the time, the car or lorry will stop for u to pass even you are already very near it? If not, what makes you think the driver will not go thru the trouble and bang you?
Plus, I am a fair and considerate citizen. If the green man turns red. I don't think I am being fair to delay the benz journey.
