Try not to raise race too much as an issue. You're making it sound as if the chinese are a superior race. Thats more or less the same as Nazism.
China was a country becoz the emperors back then collected the lands around them through wars. They were people of different cultures and beliefs with the exception of some facial features all conquered and made into a huge nation. If this never happened, China would never be a Super power. Nor would it have been China.
I think wot the Emperors of the past did was no different then what Japan did during WW2. Collect more territory, enforce standard and writing system bla bla bla..
I guess thats what shaped the world.
