Is it legal to start a small fire in Ubin?

  Hey Ubin got resorts right?

  Is it fun and cheap?

     Frankly speaking i never heard that ubin have any resort . Where did you hear it from ? Or where have you been for your whole life ? After going there about 3 times , i only know there are chalets , but never ever seen a resort in ubin . Underneath ubin is actually  a coral reef . If there were to be any heavy construction , the coral will definitely be affected and slowly the whole island will also be affected .There are only villages , quarry cliff , chek jawa to see alot of coral at low tide and some chalets .

     If you want resort , you go sentosa ok . Please don't mix up ubin with sentosa .

  I think by right you cannot start a fire as you have mentioned.

  But if you keep it small and practice some fire safety, you should be fine. At most a ranger will come along and ask you to put it out. Just do not start a fire in places that will 'disturb' many people, eg. Chek Jawa, the kampung area there.
