I think having a credit card when traveling is pretty impt, esp. when u know no one there. Run out of cash and encounter emergency, it comes in handy.
terminate via email?

Used to rec call from banks about promotions on cashline....and was very annoy and told them to cancel off my mobile number.
Few days later, they call again. Sigh!

Credit Card is good only if you know how to manage your finances and not succumb to unnecessary spending. ![]()
Credit cards can be very useful if your cashflow is not consistent. That means, your cash comes in at different times of the month.
But I guess that reason does not apply to most people.

if non-consistent income, the more shd avoid using cards bcos u dunno if u can repay next mth
I tried not to use cc when I buy things.
Sooner or later, u need to pay the bills.
So, better use nets or cash.
Once and for all.
If money is tight for that particular month, dont spend..try to control...dont use cc for the sake of no money...very risky.
A lot of people will still get a cc for the sake of having it, for status, image, just as some people who can live with no savings and sport a BM, but the latter being the extreme of course...
Some years ago, this girl on the bus, with only me as the other passenger, was speaking on the mobile, then she purposely turned to my general direction and let her card holder flaps cascade down and flashed all the credit cards for a good 10 minutes.
If I had a stick, I would have alighted acting as a blind.

their credit card is free, no joining or annual fees ever.

credit cards can also be very useful if you're working for 2 years and wants to pay interest free installments on a 16k degree course

in the hands of a discipline person, extra cashflow is useful when non-consistent income...
however, if one is just "borrowing" next month pay for this month use then it's a totally different case le... which is a big no no~
I ever sign up for installment, that is my fridge. 24 month installment comes with 1 month free, I pay only 23 month installment c/w no interest. Instead of paying full amount.
That is the advantages of having a cc.
We accept nets and credit cards.

If income comes infrequently throughout the month, all the more should use cards, because cards group the payment at one shot, after all your income for the month has come in.

It helps to regulate cashflow.
I used to have credit cards problems. Over used! Now I dun have any credit cards...I dun like the idea of using "future" money.

very true, esp. when need backup for cashflow for small business operations.
there should always be a forecasted revenue, so as long as the credit in within the figures, cc is useful.
