  I've seen/been in this forum for quite some time, as a matter a fact, long even before i register in this forum. And i've seen quite a number of hatred comments towards our goverment. It is funny that the people in the other website(most likely on blogspot and/or in facebook) got caught with their hatred comments and be jailed or fined. But this is a forum, these poice can't catch these type of peoples in FORUMS which by the way is really the first place they should check? or perhaps they choose to ignore, but then why? Don't u guys smell something fishy here?

  well, the owner of the forum is a fishmonger. big or small fishes, they do come in here.

  there are politics in the ocean among the fishes n this is the market to appraise the sentiment of the small fishes.

  Then get a greencard. 

  Even journalists do not have freedom of speech. 

  One example, Mr Brown. 

  He got removed from his column on Today Newspaper.

  who are the 'other people' who got jailed or fined for posting hatred comments towards our government?

  i only know of one inciting 'violence' and a few others for racism, but none for being anti-pap

  certainly, im sure various govt agencies keep tabs on major s'pore websites to know sentiments on the ground/net.  they dont have to arrest anyone yet

  Those ones on Facebook or blogs and so on who got arrested.....is because they made some comments which are deemed provocative or demeaning to certain groups of people (racial comments or so on)

  Never has anyone got arrested because they criticize the government.

  Well....usually something else happen to them, like lawsuits for defamation in certain cases etc.

  But the ones you talk about, the Facebook and Blogs, is purely from the angle of anti-provocation.

  That is why you should not be so surprised, because there is almost no deragotary or demeaning comments in this forum against a certain group of people (with the exception of foreigners, but foreigners are not included in that law I suppose, I am not sure about this)

  Besides this,

  This Forum is not established in Singapore.

  If I am not wrong it is established in UK.

  you have a very proactive and wild imagination 

  Next will you will think the bus driver is a spy keeping tabs on you because you board his bus

  Or your neighbor is eves dropping on every conversation you speak and recording it down, just like in Nazi Germany. 

  Unless you have done something really very very wrong that threatens national security/stability why would any one  follow you.
