kena fine at Johor immigration

hmmm a friend kena fine $150 singapore dollars(or gave $150 kopi money) for taking a picture of a water glass fountain, after he checked out johor causeway immigration centre, near the bridge linked to city square shopping centre. Can anyone tell me is he breaking the law?
First they did'nt put "no photography signs" unlike singapore one , you see them everywhere.
Second , he passed the check point and was at the bridge linked to city squarethird, he is a foreigner who don't know the rules in the first place and he even proposed to delete his "water glass fountain pic" . The Officer with a beret still tells him that he will need to surrender his phone, detained for 1 to 3 months and pay fine 300 riggit.
in the end he passd the money to him in the toilet. so much for bribing
All he did was to go to johor to try the chendol and oyster omelete, can anyone tell me is my friend in the wrong here?

you already know he's "bribing".. so still ask what "wrong" there is..
people have been complaining that even when they are driving 80km/h in a 90km/h zone, malaysian cars overtaking them, they're still fined for "speeding"

i don't think this matter will be looked into even if the foreigner brought this up to their authority. Just be careful nxt time, we can't control but at least prevent it.

I have been to Malaysia less than 3 times in my entire life, I just find it a hassle going so far there, mostly because of the corruption there and ugly urban areas.
Sinkapore will turn into it soon anyway, with some much naughty foreigners around.

I thinkt he friend is pretty naive. Who gets fined for taking picture of a fountain? That customs officer must have been laughing his balls off at the stupidity of the singaporean. Sorry to say this.......

$150 too high already, you should ask for $50, like me, never put safety belt while driving, their TP asked for $150, end up only $30. Malaysia is a bargain country, from durian to police, you must learn to bargain, if not god bless you.

Do you know how afraid and worry these policemen were when they are taking your bribe, their head keep rotating round, up and down to watch out for anti corruption police. All they want is money, going to jail or court is not going to help them anything, anything with a sg car plates or a stupid guy look like TS fren, they go after you, especially when you are driving a luxury car like mine. By telling them that going to jail and court is fine with you, they will withdraw their demand and ask for less, because by going to pay fine, they loose everything. And by saying that in court, you will say that the police try to bribe me, give the court his name and nos, I think they will even let you go immediately. Be smart, dun scare. Scare here, scare there, stay at home and drink milk better -
