which foreign language course shd i take up?

  Hi, my school offers a foreign language course, and I want to take either Mandarin Chinese, German or Spanish. Which one do you recommend?

  didn't know mandarin chinese has become a foreign language. i mean, go to little china (geylang), it's becoming our national language soon.

  I would recommend Chinese.

  Being able to understand what majority of people speaks in such a big and powerful country like China is a plus.

  And of course, to communicate with fellow chinese people in Singapore/Malaysia.

  Among the 3 choices I also choose Mandarin Chinese.  If there are more choices, Mandarin Chinese would not be at the top of my list.

  Take Spanish! It's one of the most widely spoken language. It will definitely help if you are dealing with Caucasian. If you're not a Chinese or do not read chinese, take up conversational mandarin. It's the most spoken language in the world (probably due to it's population). Hope this helps! :)

  Actually English is enough. Chinese is not necessary unless you are moving to PRC.
