To know what they are dreaming, may be the person can draw on a piece of paper what they see in their dream and whether it matches with reality. If what they dream match with the thing in reality, then I wonder why they can dream of something they have not seen. Amazing. Don't tell me blind people cannot draw. If can't draw, may be they can describe.
Maybe their dreams only got sounds.

I like the way you think!
I don't think they would be able to draw things that will be exactly like reality, but if they've tried to familiarise themselves with shapes of different objects etc. through touch, then perhaps they can draw something that would be close to what it is exactly.
Wonder if there's any research or stuff on the net on this...
this reminds me of something those monks do: Meditation
It is said that through deep meditation, really deep and focused meditation, one can actually is capable of creating physical objects through the power of the meditation
I've actually asked visually-handicapped people this before:
1) If you were born blind, your 'dreams' tend to be sensation-based / touch / sounds.
2) Most people who BECAME blind generally report dreaming (often) in 'visual'.
Hope this helps.
Thanks. Good info. there.
thanks!

You are welcomed.
A fantastic date; or at the very least, a very humbling experience is to go with someone to 'Dialogues in the Dark'.
It's a 1 hour journey through the (so to speak) eyes of a blind person. Go with someone that matters to you. /google it. S$20 a head, I believe.
im sure they do dream. but it depends on whether they r born blind or got blind after that. if born blind, they may not b able to dream vivid images bah.
