Hey Peeps, do you guys know of any condusive study places?
1 that allows studying, wi-fi (optional), allows talking, with tables and chairs?
definitely not library. ![]()
The best place would be in your school. Find an ulu corner/room to study is the best. Forget about all those study corner thingy. Last time my school RP very good, almost every corner of the school got tables and chairs for student to study, the library was one of my favourite place to study after school. ![]()
ur own sch study corners, canteens.
Condusive or not, first of all, can you study??
Ah, for me school sure cannot... always talk to my friends later cannot study. Personally, studying at home is best. ![]()
if relli can study, anywhere oso can study
This was from 4 years ago ![]()
NUS, engine faculty, inside EA, the same block where LT7A is.
Go to the 5th floor.
You have tables and chairs, air-con, allows studying, food at first floor, allows talking.
Wifi available for NUS students, but I believe you can connect to the net through a LAN cable.
the best place actually is toilet. cause no one will be there and you can really study without any distractions

or is there any poly/uni that got such places that is open to public usage that is convenient to travel into?
National Library lor.
or macdonals
national library no place to sit down and use computer..
even if by lucky find a place to sit..cannot talk softly..need to whisper..no convenient..
Macdonalds..hmm.high possibility.
Is there any suitable place that any of you can recommended?
I'm looking at a place somewhere in between Novena and Choa Chu Kang..
In that case, fast food restaurants may be best...
Or places like Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Spinelli are nice too :)

Well, the question that the_fallen bro has posted changed from conducive studying place to one where he meets people for discussion.
To me, that is two different requirements.
Making pple hamsap a not depends on the person mah.
our NUS library is really very good i think...
I think try uni libraries? I think national libraries have discussion rooms that you can book for use. you might wanna check that out..
Otherwise, find someone who lives in a condo and book the function room :D Me and my friends always do that for cca meetings last time.

My bad, I didn't read some of the folowing comments. In that case Starbucks/ Coffee Bean etc. aren't bad choices after all.

i didn't change my requirements, it's just that i refine and clarified my situation.
i did mention in the 1st post in this thread about "1 place that allows talking"
my reason for writing condusive studying place is because i've being to Mac, food court, SMU there to try out the different locations..
so far SMU meets the criteria..but the issue is the distance..so I was looking for somewhere closer.

starbucks got chiobu meh?
starbucks is just about a drink, and catching up place..suitable for discussion..even if there is, it's not the focus isn't it?

if you're referring to Tangling RP library.i think that place might be able to see..but i didn't stay in there for long..so not sure..
since i go in only for project purpose..
As for Woodlands RP...the library is big..but i suppose there isn't a suitable corner that allows discussion right? (other than the cafe inside the library - if it is still in business)..
Well, just a personal opinion that studying and a working adult meeting people for discussion are two different requirements. :)
Anyway, between Novena and CCK, I supposed you were referring to the NS Line. I would prefer KFC or Subway as opposed to Mac because they are usually quieter with lesser customers.
Have you tried the Mac at Bishan bus interchange? Not at J8. It is usually quiet there.

I suppose Bus Interchange is within walking distance if i walk out from MRT station right?
Is it easy to find seats in the Mac that you're referring to?
Seats that is positioned at the sides so as to have a little of privacy and reduce distractions from other people passing by.
