Teacher cuts pupil's hair, mum files police report

A mother has lodged a police report after her 12-year-old son's teacher cut his hair an hour before his PSLE oral exam last Thursday.
The mother, Madam Serene Ong, is outraged that the teacher did this just before a crucial exam, that it was done without her knowledge - and that it ruined the boy's $60 haircut.
She claimed the teacher - Ms Belinda Cheng of Unity Primary - also threatened to deduct marks from the boy's exam if he refused to have his hair cut.
On Wednesday, the school's principal, Mrs Jasmail Singh Gill, agreed with Madam Ong that the teacher had no business cutting the boy's hair.

The $60 hair cut is like ah beng hair cut. Hair is long, fringe touching eyebrow. Look like just woke up.
I think the teacher has good intent, because she doesn't want the boy to look like ah beng during oral exam.

The principal also has lack of steel in her philosophy of discipline.
In my time, my discipline master will walk around the examination hall with a bigass pair of scissors.
If your hair is too long....... SNIP SNIP SNIP, you'll suddenly find your fringe lying on your exam paper without warning.

But I prefer the bowl shaped hair style:
You cut this type of bowl shape style for oral exam, sure to get high marks.
The examiner one look also know the student is an idiot, he/she will take pity and give a high score.

The mother is a mgr,trying to show off to draw attention to her sub. She is also not of a mgr calibre,small little thing go to mata.The mata can do what ? the principal:I would not want to be her teacher,no principle. the teacher did right: cut his hair hoping that the boy would give a better impression to the examinaer to score more marks. MOE no response to this incident:the next generation is WORST than this . -
The principal is there to protect the teacher in enforcing the rules.
If I am the teacher in that school, I will be very disappointed that the principal have feed me to the dog for doing something right.
If every parents start making police report when the teachers try to enforce the rule, what is the point of having the rule in the 1st place ?
Something is morally wrong in Singapore.
It is a joke when agency wasted tax payer money to buy expensive chair and trying to defend and argue that it is justified as they have followed the procedure.
So, we will have ferrari police car very soon.
It is an insult when the news was broadcast on the radio along with the news that the number of poor families that have requested for welfare have doubled last year.
