How close is your home to a nuclear power plant?
If a crisis at a nuclear reactor happened in the U.S., could you be living in a danger zone? In a 10-mile radius, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the air could be unsafe to breathe in the event of a major catastrophe. In 50 miles, food and water supplies may be unsafe.

Singapore is about 24 km from North to South and 49 km from East to West...the place to run or evacuate the population in the event of nuclear catastrophe...underground...underwater..or plead with Malaysia and Indonesia for help?
+1 I agree

The main problem with nuclear reactors is that they must not be near residential area therefore seriously...which part of singapore is viable?
edit: remember 6.9 million.....aim for the maximum resources singapore can hold..
USN aircraft carriers are here rather often.
Each carrier has 2 reactors producing 550MWth each.
The combined output is enough to power a small city.
The perspective I am trying to bring here is that if there is any danger (at all), it is already in SG.
nuclear power plant, very smart indeed.. its like an blueprint for total annihilation if shit just got real.

MWth = MW thermal
Different from MWe = MW electrical
As nuclear power generation has become established since the 1950s, the size of reactor units has grown from 60 MWe to more than 1600 MWe, with corresponding economies of scale in operation. At the same time there have been many hundreds of smaller power reactors built for naval use (up to 190 MW thermal)
