Singapore boys looks too pampered to me because most of them either have a mum or a maid waiting on him. Sigh, there's this guy in Home Education class who don't even know how to wipe the tables at all and them expects me to prepare the squid for him, which make him sound very pampered to me. I am not marry such a prince in the future, he can go get a foreign bride if he wants. I am not saying that my future husband should do all the household chores, but I insisted that we split everything because it's a marriage, not an adoption. That includes bills, household chores, buying groceries...etc
now a days husband look for wife to support family income. Can leave the housework to the maid. So you so good in cooking, washing, ironing, can prepare sotong...also no use.

But unfortunately, I am not the person who are used to having a stranger at my house...feels a bit weird leh. How is knowing how to do household chores "no use"? I can be independent in taking care of myself without my parents or a maid. I want to go overseas for my studies as well, that sure can help me a lot.
As for your idea of leaving everything to the maid...how sure are you that you can keep having a maid forever? What if you lose your job to whoever as a result, you have to become taxi driver for your income? Can you still afford a maid?
So please think about it. I hate guys who depends on his maid for the household chores because it shows that they lack independance.

Good reply. But I really wonder, 10-15 years down the road, whether you will be of the same opinion. Some of my beliefs/dreams were very similar to yours (but from a guys point of view). But now, I have became very sceptical. The real world is very demanding.

I know...I am also rather skeptical being able to keep my promise of never hiring a maid. Touch wood, maybe one of my parents kenna disability...who will take care of them? I don't believe in sending them to nursing homes.
I took a look at my parents and grandparents...overall they are healthy. My 81-years-old grandmother is still to walk herself to and back the hawker centre everyday. No family history of cancer, no family history of diabetes or any life-threatening disease. No obesity. So I am rather relaxed now...but I can't predict the future.
