Well, the truth is, neither you nor anyone in pore can say for sure where abang is. Try to disagree to this statement and convince me otherwise.
There is no official report as to in which country is abang now. There are only some info that he COULD BE in indonesia.
'Could be' is not 'IS'.
but I wonder, does this mean, no one knows for sure where is abang? By this, does it mean that no one can say abang IS in pore?
If so, could there be an official report informing the public the actual status that no one knows for sure where is abang and that investigations are still on-going? Would this not be more clear report to the public? So many could have, before this week, still assume that Abang IS still probably in the pore based on some info they heard that there is no evidence that abang has left.
I would like to suggest that there be a report that says, there is no evidence that abang has not left the pore ALSO.
This is also a form of TRUTH.
So, its a Truth that there is no evidence abang has left the pore. AT THE SAME TIME, the other TRUTH is that there is no evidence abang has not left the pore.
This kind of report would make things clearer as some naive people may not be able to comprehend well, that is, failed in basic news / language comprehension.
But now, since the news says there is some clues from the captees that abang MAY BE in indonesia, then, I am glad the public is now informed about it. This makes a world of difference.
don't know does not mean no.
don't know means don't know. Clueless.
... so they said that they have no intelligence or info which suggests that MSK is in Indonesia...
... then what if true intelligence in Indonesia spots or finds him?
... I think MHA better dig a hole in the ground in advance to stick their heads into when that happens ...

MHA says no intelligence or info to suggest Mas Selamat is in Indonesia

SINGAPORE: The Home Affairs Ministry says there has been no intelligence or information to date which suggests that Mas Selamat Kastari is in Indonesia.
However Singapore authorities have been working closely with their Indonesian counterparts and other security and intelligence partners in their on-going security operation to locate and apprehend the Jemaah Islamiyah leader.
The Ministry's statement came after Indonesian media reported that Indonesian police had received information suggesting that Mas Selamat had slipped into the country following his escape from Singapore's Whitley Road Detention Centre in February this year.
As to newspaper reports that Indonesian authorities are on the hunt for three Singaporean JI members who had escaped a round-up of JI terrorists in Singapore in 2001, the Ministry said two of the three men identified, "Ishak" and "Rosid" are probably two men who are already under detention in Singapore.
They are Ishak Mohamed Noohu and Mohamed Rashid Zainal Abidin, both of whom had been arrested overseas.
Mohamed Rashid was detained in June 2006, at the same time as Mas Selamat Kastari, while Ishak Mohamad Noohu was detained in June 2007. - CNA/de

I heard somewhere that singapore is an intelligent island.
well....
I wonder how long more will Mas Selamat wait before declaring to the world where he is, alive and well? .
What would be the effect if he upload a u-tube video of himself enjoying in Indonesia island , say Bali , and do this on a auspicious day worth remembering?
I hope this would not happen. ah hem....

I sure would like to see him singing Rasa Sayang in you tube and telling us the tale of his daring escape but...you know I know lah this will never happened

I read that recently, the has been several more lapses :
1. IRAS lapse - today's news.
2. Selamat lapse.
3. Safety lapse of boaters.
If there is any more, please let me know. I am not in Singapore and so have limited visibility of the going-ons there.
I am disappointed actually. I have read so many 'number 1', 'best', 'top' news about Singapore. I think these lapses is not good for singapore reputation.

Singapore still cannot escape from the South East Asian 'tidak apa' mentality so even if number one dumb mistakes are unavoidable.
According to Media Corp news broadcast on Friday, the Indonesian Police believe that MSK has already entered Indonesia, and is now like a fish in its familiar water.
However, the Singapore Home Ministry insist that their inteligence cannot confirm that MSK has left Singapore.
Perhaps MSK may wish to send a post card to the Singapore Home Minister WKS - from wherever he maybe now ?

When one Cannot Confirm if someone has LEFT singapore,
Is that Equatable with the logic that someone IS STILL IN Singapore?
When one cannot determine if someone is either
a. STILL IN Singapore
OR
b. NOT IN Singapore
Tell me what does this mean?
I know the answer. But would not want to rile anyone with my reply.
I am sure you people who are not mentality handicapped or challenged or of low IQ
should also know answer already.
something out of context but is what I like to ask you:
MCQ : Ah Meng cannot find his Big Banana and his Hairy Ranbutans.
He has no evidence to prove that his friend Has Stolen them.
He also has no evidence to prove that his friend Has Not Stolen them.
How would you describe Ah Meng's situation now and what would he say if his father asked him how come his big banana and ranbutans are not dangling?
A. Ah Meng is sure that his friend Has Not Stolen his fruits.
B. Ah Meng is sure that his friend Has Stolen his fruits.
C. Ah Meng is Clueless at the moment.
Ans: [ ]
* note : This question came up in an exam for primary 1 students where 66.6% majority of them got it correct only.

if he is still in singapore, how come after 4 months still no news? note that singapore is small and everyone is on the look out to look for him.
I tot Ah Meng was a female?

Oh is that so?
Well, a banana or a ranbutan can also be useful for females - vit-C

Singapore,a disgusting country
I notice from some postings here that Selamat escaped on the 27 Feb 2008.
Thus, Selamat shall, in a few more days, have escaped undetected and undetectable for 5 straight long continuous months in a row without a break after the toilet break.
Wow, what a long break!
Are you people living in singapore not afraid for your safety or the possible threat from a dangerous leader of Al Qaeda ?
No ?
For me , I am not worried as I am overseas.
tchuss!!

I am more concerned with the rising ERP and fuel cost even though I only ride one small motorcycle.
And also worry that if my company going to response to a certain minister's calling by not giving us good salary increment next year in order to keep inflation in check.
Really no idea what is the sane logic behind this man.

Singaporeans seem like easily distracted from important issues and choose to focus on bread and butter issues rather than things concerning their lives like national security - selamat can pose threat to singapore security. Also, many have poor memory also. They always forget after a while.
maybe singapore is just really a young place.
wow, I am so amazed that 2 person donate 1 million for Selamat information !
The best part is their identities are kept confidential.
Police is not allowed to use reward for information.
