Been listening to tanya's album lately.. very touching song......Kept playing this song over and over again ...today..listened to over 5 times..Very nice..Well-written lyrics.."Chuan suo yi duan you ning yi duan gan qing lu ai zhen me ye tian bu mang ye tao bu kong........."
First time i heard her singing on tv, Star Search..wet my eyes..I like too.. -

To all fans of Huang Bingyuan, in case you do not know, he is hosting a variety show with Zhang Fei and Kang Kang that is aired every Sunday night after the Channel U drama serial. The variety show typically starts at 11.15.
While Huang Bingyuan's musical talent is unquestioned, I certainly didn't know he could host so well.
My Saturday was spent at a friend's and ended up missing some songs. Well, being stuck on Jieqi's program can be a socially upsetting addiction 'cos you tend to keep your Saturday afternoons free so as to stay at home. Worst still, if you are outside, you end up tuning in and ignoring your friends. Or if you are at their place (or in their car), you will request that they turn on the radio. Not that I am complaining... I'm enjoying the songs... -
It's Huang PinYuan...The one who sang and recently got a song with Zhou HuaJian and Huang PinGuan...I like his other song a lot..and it is ..very qi mei..There's a story behind this song. Anyone knows? tinker, JieQi and his program has become part of your life! Also part of my life..haha..JieQi told me before it's not very healthy to stay at home on Saturdays and not socialising...
Who cares anyway? Let me pamper myself first before i entertain others...Hahaha..kidding..My frens are very understanding..I can always go out with them before and/or after JieQi's Program.. -

Can't remember the exact title too, it's "7-11 De Lian Ai" or something like that. It's a story written by Cai Zhi Hen, a Taiwanese author whom I'm a big fan of. He started the internet novel craze with his "Di Yi Ci De Qing Mi Jie Chu". (remember Pi Zi Cai and Qing Wu Fei Yang? ChongQing acted in a stage play adapted from this story before). The 7-11 story (from the book) is about the secret admiration between a 7-11 salesperson and a biker who always comes to buy at the 7-11 and gives the same amount everytime. It comes to light in the end that both are secretly admiring each other but at the same time unaware of each other's liking. Think the story didn't have a good ending, because CZH's stories seldom have anyway. In fact, I think this story was taken from his book called "Yu Yi" (the China version). The Taiwan version I think is titled "7-11...".
Coincidentally Dreamz FM has a similarly titled song called "7-11 de ai lian" (very nice song!!!). Always hoped that if CZH's 7-11 story was to become a movie, DFM's song can become its theme song. But I know it is not to be... -

Wah Hajime...Great! you know the story and the song! Haha..I'm quite a fan of Dreamz FM..Like their singing..bought their CDs..never disappoint me! Went to their concert held at Down Town East..I think it was 2 years ago...a starry starry night..Then they sang by Collin Raye..first time i heard that song and like it so much after they sang it.
Chen HanWei can Cai LiLian were there...including some other crew of ..they were recording an episode there...so funny..haha...Cai Li Lian was asked to go up on stage..Rick (Liu Rui Cong, Her husband) composed the song ..so sweet neh! ^^ Then they were asked to sing the duet, and Cai Li Lian said she would rather sing with Chen HanWei..haha..
That talks about a love story of a man and a Geisha..I heard HuiShi introduced this film one day..over the radio..It has a sad ending..What's the story behind the raincoat? When a man likes a woman, he will share a raincoat with her..Think that's the romantic part.....Awwwwwww...how i wish i can catch it in cinema! So disappointing... also delay...haiz..

There's a concert tonight at Fajar area (Bkt Panjang LRT)..free concert. Tanya, Wang Jie and lots others will be there! Thought of going but decided to stay at home and stay away from the crowd..A very long concert, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Anyway..it's far away from my home...

RuiMin used to be a te4 wu4, right? But that was some years ago. A pleasant surprise to know he is now a part-time DJ. Only managed to hear a bit of JieQi because was out then, but heard Duan Dian, ya, the song is not bad. Zhang Jing Xuan's pronounciation is quite good for a HK singer (I think he is anyway...). -

I remember last time I read about ZJX's background was that he was originally from China but went to live in HK? Or that he was from China and went to HK to "fa zhan". Anyway, because he was then a nobody in HK, so the radio did not really promote "My Way". They only just added it onto the usual playlist. But eventually the song went down very well with the listeners who began to ask the radio stations who the singer was. Henceforth, people started to take notice of him.
He looked quite skinny leh, like Daniel Chan meh? But heard he was a big fan of David Tao. He called in the radio station one day when David was being interviewed. His call was rejected initially because he did not tell the DJ who he was. He later called the second time and revealed his identity. So the DJ of course allowed him to talk to David (which made him extremely excited of course! I would be too if I can talk to David ) The DJ also played a ZJX's song to David and asked David to comment on ZJX's music. David gave some pointers which I believe ZJX would ming ji zai xin 
For me, I still like Hu Yan Bin better haha...but ZJX is not bad. I think this new batch of China composers/singers got noticed because their works are more contemporary (read: does not sound so made-in-China) than their predecessors, eg. Mao Ning. -

Looks like you did some research about the new singers hor? ZJX dun look like Daniel Chan lah, but the smile resembles him..his pattern is like Zhang Zhi Cheng, his singing is a bit like Daniel Chan ba..If you heard ..somehow i link them together leh..

Speaking of singers from the PRC, there are a few outstanding individuals. Talents abound in a population of more than a billion. I remember a lady singer by the name of Mao-something-Min. I think it is Mao Ah Min or something like that. I first took notice of her when she sang the pian wei qu of "San Guo Yan Yi". Along the way, I heard her songs once in a while in public functions here and there. According to my friends from the PRC, she is pretty popular in some quarters.

Saw an ad on TV. A certain record label is releasing a compilation of local hits. It's called "Ben3 Di4 Jiang1 La4" and comes in a double CD pack.

Hahahaha.... suddenly have this urge to organise a "listering" Nope... not an outing to use Listerine but a gathering for listening. Listening + Gathering = Listering. Yerp... maybe we should meet at a place with a decent stereo, preferably with air-con, just to listen to Jieqi's program together. There used to be a bubble tea shop in Tiong Bahru Plaza that is permanently tuned in to 933 with a cosy setting. The place was pretty quiet on Saturday afternoons. Something like that would be nice.
A trip to the beach will not be a bad idea...
And before we do that, let's make sure Jieqi will be on air at the designated time. It will be a cruel twist of fate to travel half the way across the island, gather at 4 pm all ready for indulgence only to find that Jieqi is hosting the 11 pm slot.
