So glad to be back, holidays are fun, but nothing beats the warm bed at home
So many things to look forward to, since it's end of the year, which means Christmas is coming!!! Not that I celebrate it, I'm not a Christian, but I feel it's an appropriate day to close the year...The nice serene notes of carols while I sort out my thoughts of what have I done and what nots for the year so far.
Looking forward to David Tao's concert as well!!!!!!! Yes, he's finally coming!!! Less than a month from now, and boy! Am I excited!!!
In need of some good songs badly...not been getting any Chinese music while in UK, just a lot of English pop like Sugababes which frankly do not go down well for me 
I much prefer older songs..."Kissing A Fool" is nice, I like the version by George Michael...he's one of my fave British singers, too bad about all his "misadventures" 
Think I must have missed out on a lot of happenings on everything...hope things are fine for everyone so far and that life has been kind to you! Now looking forward to JQ this weekend...so is it Sat 4-8pm? I am really excited about catching his program again! -

refreshing too,since the previous threads i read were totally crap....pple insulting each other,and singers they dislike...dis thread is totally different though...cool-headed..mature...focused...a joy to read

Thanks for your compliment leh! LoL..Well, I read through those threads before too and I also asked Shervon whthether they eventually get to meet up with JieQi. Well, sad to say, No. Hee hee..But some of us personally met up with JieQi in some special occasions. Well for me, I went to catch him at a drama, on 2 Nov 2000. I met him again at 933's 13th birthday. Hee hee.. And if you are wondering whether we, the forummers here, ever met up. So far, ever since I joined, no gathering has been initiated. I'm glad you find this thread a joy to read. Do join us here whenever you can. ^^
I muz say JieQi has penetrated into our lives..not all, but most of us here. Today is Saturday~ Still as beautiful though JieQi will not be on air today.

hi mayday, welcome on board. hajime, welcome back to... yeah, i kinda agree that it's like a big family in here now... keeping track on who's around and who's away... very informal family but i like the farmiliarity...
i'm on holiday everyday... (aka not working...)... very free... have been burning my own cd compilation for a fren, and now i think i'm going to try and compile my playlist of jieqi's anthem... maybe eventually burning them into cds, then will have Jieqi's anthem series 1, 2, 3, etc...
we never met up officially... i haven see the sunset at nus either... 3 long years... -

I burnt a 'JieQi Anthemn' one year ago..hehe..got , etc etc...juz a CD lor..not much songs..hehe..but now I keep tapes..record his whole program and listen whenever I feel like it..^^

Personally, I am amazed that this thread survived. I mean, I haven't really started that many threads (two if I recollect correctly, one for Jieqi, the other for Bukoh Mary) and neither was anyone paid to do this. It astounds me. Well, there are times when things go quiet and you don't see new posts for some time. Just hang in there and keep it going and wala... you get all the Browniebaobao's in the world appearing.
I guess it is the same with life, you just need to hang on during bad patches until you turn the corner.

Meeting with Jieqi? Well, the closest was back in 2000 or some time there where I was having my attachment in the same building as Caldecott Publications where Jieqi was based FOR HALF A YEAR. I actually went down to the office and asked the recept if I could have a few words with Jieqi. According to her, Jieqi wasn't in and "he is very busy" (mandarin). From then on, I told myself I just needed to tune in, support him, send him emails or post threads...
I certainly wouldn't mind meeting him... but won't go out of the way to do that.

Anyway, I find it hard to believe that we have people who actually record Jieqi's program and archive them in tapes. Well, it's not such a bad idea isn't it. You know, we could actually digitise them into mp3 given the right hardware. A cassette player, an A/D convertor, a computer, mp3 coder etc. It can be done. You can even edit away the ad, call-in's, 4 D results etc. -

this forum started out as the g-net 933 irc # forum, but somehow, things died down, i dun go so often into the chatrm now, nor do i listen to 933 now........
well, i do like jieqi and his selections, but, sighz, sat, very hard for me to stay at home n listen...so i guess i missed alot of good songs...and when i very guai stayed at home last sat, wah liew, it's not him leh
anyway, i'm also looking fwd to david tao concert!!
juz attended shin concert last fri, i really pei fu ah shin! he's got stage presence, and his vocals, wee wooo wee, i shout for 1 song i already tired, he can do it continuous for 5-6 songs.....*applause applause*
it's been quite some time since i went to such happening rock concert, really hope beyond can drop by here for concert!!!
