Hi bbb, i m very very new to this forums happens to find it when i was searching @ google and just enjoy the topics discussed and have a good laugh to what u guys said.
I am currently working in london, have no choice but to listen to yes933 on air. U guys are so much luckier
Yes, i am a long time supporter of JieQi n BaoBao (sad she hv left)...is a shame really. Not easy to get a good DJ with substance and a good taste of music. Well, in general yes933's music are great but i do really enjoyed like JQ sharing his personal collection! Yes! -

Anyway, had got an sms fm some1 that he'd be doing 11pm - 2am slot, & will rotate with cavin.
BTW, Jupiter, can u pls let us know the date n time in London now? How many hrs ahead or behind time compared to S'pore? It's now 2/10 12:22pm here.

I tried to write a program that can "tune in" via Internet and record the 933 streaming but it didn't work. I had wanted to give it to a "sister" of mine studying in the states. *sigh* she was homesick and missed 933 terribly. The program failed miserably.
England is probably on Daylight saving and that would make it 7 hours behind us, instead of the usual 8. I stand to be corrected here. More details at: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/
Daylight Saving can be quite a nightmare esepcially if you need to arrange for a teleconference across 4 time zones with Daylight Saving built in.

Since almost everyone is looking into this thead again..Let me propose to have a gathering..only for 933 web forum forumites/JQ supporters. Anyone interested? I know Shervon and me are ON for it. I have wrote in to ask JQ whether he is interested and will wait for his reply. I'm thinking that maybe we could go to Ai Qing Hai or coffeebean etc..listen to good music and at the same time, can have interaction with each other.
So how? Let me know whether u are interested and available dates. Probably Nov or Dec..I'm not sure yet coz I might be working in November..anyway I'm definitely On for it!

Anyway, if it is an outing, let's keep it small... I shy lah... plus big group hard to manage.

) and also the seldom appearance of 'tai yang gong gong'...
Tinker, i might hv disappoint to tell you that i belongs to F categories , working in the medical line, old enough to be yr aunty.... blessed u, the thorns (borez too) amongst the roses.
I feel proud that s'pore hv produced quite a number of excellence singers, ah du, sun yan zhi, zhou jie lun, cai chun jia, tanya, yi da...cannot name them all. I like an du's voice, cai chun jia's my favourite, they all hv individual uniqueness.

Will be going on holidays! Phew...Though just somewhere nearby, it's still some time to relax.
Recently I bought this album by a China singer called "Dao1 Lang2". Very shiok album, if you like music which will remind you of vast land clear skies...his voice resonates wilderness of plains and magnanimity of bravemen. Some may call it world-music, but this genre actually doesn't exist IMO - it is just a convenient way of classifying music which doesn't belong to any genre
And yeah, Joi Chua's new album is a very good effort. The songs showcase her crystal-clear vocals to the optimum, and the compositions are full to brim with sincerity, something which we did not wait in vain for.
She sold 50,000 copies of her debut album Taiwan and I must say that wasn't an easy feat, considering the miniscule attention and promotion from the media and her record company. If the promotion efforts are better this time around, I am sure she can make a bigger impact in the Taiwan market. That is, if they know how to appreciate a good voice like hers. All the best to Joi!
