If you bother to pay attention, you will notice that as a person gets richer he suddenly starts to look better, feel better etc. You think get very sick like in those stupid TV serials mei. Get real. They are so busy and have to travel so often that they see the world more and end up being more healthy.
Some might argue thats it a state of the mind but seriously speaking. If now got a few million drop into your lap, imagine the difference it can make. Everything in life has a price. And when you put it down to simple maths, getting love without money is difficult.Plus love cannot get you money. You got tons of cash, you can get love. I'm not saying immediately but you got money to "nuture" it yet. Love needs to be nutured too.
Being a nice poor guy doesn't cut it unless you like fairy tales. Heard the saying that a jerk with money can have more than one women in their life. Before/During Courtship

During Relationship
I think we should remain as friends, i don't feel anything for you anymore.
I found someone better... someone who i'm more attracted to.
And the guy goes away crying, or with a broken heart.
And they say all the Good guys are taken..... man. This world is seriously warped... Can't the girls see that they are the cause of this... 'jerk-dom' ??

What if the girls, actually start to like, and go out the nice guys, and leave the jerks alone(as they should be). What will happen?
The jerks will then, seeing the girls flocking to the good and nice guys, turn nice themselves. Then in the future, jerks will be less in demand, and wham, 90% of jerks gone, leading to a dramatic decrease in lesbians, and in turn, gays.
You see where I am going?
However, because this is as likely to happen as cigarettes getting banned in Singapore. We know it is bad, but we do it anyway, why? (okay, not going to drag cigs into the topic)
Another reason why the nice guys will never get all the girls, (unless of course, they happen to be rich), is that generally nice guys are boring.

We become jerks ourselves, or we lose our confidence with girls. This is really bad.
This is a vicious cycle do you not see?
We try to conform to what the girls want, and then it changes 10 years later.
By then, we have reached a stage where it is hard to change. During our teenage years when we are impressionable, we can do that easily... but when we're older...
The point is, we need to become jerks in the short run to get the girls, and yet remember our chivalry and gentleman stuff ... and use it when we're in our prime, to get a wife.

When they're young (13~23), they want a handsome, understanding, caring, thoughtful, attentive, humorous, romantic, serious, ambitious guy with a bit of bad boy in him.
When they're over 25, they want a guy whom they can get settled down with, but at the same time be understanding, caring, thoughtful, humorous, romantic and abitious guy. Looks still matter, but not as much.
When they're over 30, all they want is a guy whom they can get settled down with. Looks doesn't matter at all.
When they're over 40, they won't need a guy anymore.
My point is that nice guys are at the losing end in their youth, because the girls have high expectations. Trust me, nice guys will get a girlfriend eventually. But by then, you're probably in your late 20's. -
When we get a gf, it'll be in our late 20's.
And that's IF the girls out there have not been taken by the attractive guys, not married, not turned-into-lesbian-because-trust-gone, not with child, etc.
So the point is, guys out there, listen well:
BE attractive now. Stop being nice to the girls, unless of course, you want to be their 'spare tyre' or their 'brother'.
Hey. I'm not telling you to be jerks either. Just saying, if you want a girlfriend, be attractive (most of the stuff men_@_arms wrote is pretty extreme, i wouldn't go that far,) try to be unpredictable, and funny. That would help a lot as it is(i personally hate jerks, and i would never want to be like them).
There's a lot more to this, but all i can say is... treat her with too much 'nice-ness' and be 'gentleman', and she'll run away 99% of the time.
And once again. This thread is not about me! I'm just trying to solve one of life greatest mysteries in relationships. -

Acting gentlemanly won't get you a gf, the girls will just say you're nice and sweet, and go for someone else(this is dependant on age. Girls at 13-15 will do anything for attention from a guy)
Of course, looks and money help alot. And er, everything else refer to whatever i've said.

I suggest if you really want to get out of your sad bachelor lifestyle...start getting some books on romance/dating. Alternatively, do some reading at those websites that offer romance/dating/relationships/women tips. You'll begin to understand why you're still single, and all the assholes are getting the girls. Believe me, there're a great help.
But all in all, it doesn't help if you just sit on your ass and read. You have to get out there and start interacting with women if you wanna score with them.

How about the nerd? He doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink, he doesn't fight, he doesn't complain, he doesn't spew vulgarities, he doesn't laugh at people. He's polite, hardworking, quiet, decent, and nice. He will treat a girl like his queen and obey her every orders. Isn't that a good guy?

Actually, guys are the same as well. We all say we just want a nice, average, cheerful, cute girl. Hey, that plain-looking (usually not the prettiest) girl in your class fits all that. Why aren't the guys going for her then?

Well ok do nice guys finish last?? Rephrase, do nice guys get it as good and RANDY with girls as much as the jerks do?
Ok. Yes and No.
Short run;
in the early years of female adult-hood, i.e. 15-27 years of age, the female organism undergoes a certain "rite of passage", whereby she is attracted to the attractive guy.
Such guys make the short-run female feel better about herself in front of her girl-friends, such guys can show the female a better time than the "nerdy dorky guai" guys. Such guys give the female A GREAT TIME. She may occasionaly switch such guys, depending on how JERKY they are and dump her for other girls that are dying to be in the arms of such jerks in their respective short run modes.
So yeah, the more attractive kind of guys tend to be jerks because it is easier for them to attract girls by simply.. being jerks most of the time, *wink* well.. at least they let their jerk sides show AFTER they ghet the girl dat is..
This is thanks to American media shows, heavy-metal subculture and other forms of media that emphasize "COOL and HIPNESS" etc etc
Long run:
The shortcoming of the attractive guy, is that in the long run, his short run days of smoking, drinking, DRIVING at high speeds etc cost him lots of $, he runs the risk of dying in accidents, becoming a drug addict or getting his liver **** up. Most of the time, attractive guys bounce off from one girl to another until he retires.
But in the long run, the female usually has had at least 3 or 4 jerks in her "short run" period, she would be pissed off with men in general and may even consider becoming a lesbian. Her long run mode has kicked in, whereby she is more attracted to financial stability, decent gentlemanly-guys who are not sterile yet who can help raise children fruitfully and properly etc. Thus the attractive guy becomes unattractive compared to the formerly unattractive nerdy guy.
Unattractive nerdy guys, in the long run, usually have better paying jobs, more stability and can even enhance their attractiveness with cybernetic enhancements which they can easily pay for with their $.
SO it ALL DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF GUY U ARE NOW? AND WHAT KIND OF GUY U WILL BE! AND WHEN UR LONG RUN PERIOD KICKS IN!!

They have throughly explained to me why benig nice guys don't work, in the extreme case of being a nerd, vs being a jerk.
Slowly though, i plan to improve myself to being as attractive as a jerk without being one. heh. It'll take some time though, but i've seen it work already.
So yea. I'll just remember to turn nice when i want to woo ladies in the late 20's or early 30's, and i know i'll do fine. -
