  Actually. 1 of my best guy buddies is considered "ugly" by some of my meaner friends (whom I've Not kept in touch with). But his personality is so beautiful that I sincerely believe that whoever ends up his gf will be a very lucky girl.

  Don't be cynical. I didn't reject him. We just were like brother & sister all along, & there was never any interest. If I weren't attached, & he asked, I would actually have dated him.

  But... I really would've dated this friend IF he'd asked before I got attached leh I'd been friends with him for almost 15 years. After a certain amount of time had passed, the looks factor wasn't even a concern. But he just never asked me out on a date when frankly, if he'd asked me, I would've turned down my other exes in an instant!

  if you get to know someone for a very very long time the looks and wealth factors become less important.
  
  but how many people actually spend enough time to get to know one another nowadays. hence most check out the vitals - wealth and looks, first.

  But on the other note, it took 15 years or a certain amount of time to consider that looks are secondary. It's long manzz.
  
  It's a good thing that your friend still have attributes which can attract.
  These people are at disadvantage, because the other party needs time to realise that beneath the looks is the heart.
