basicly this course focus on aircraft repair lah
you get c and above for all the modules you have 12 caas examptions for lae.
you guys have it good lah.
once apon a time everything is mug textbooks.
nowadays you get to strip the engines and stuff.
They are even bringing in a cessna for you guys to do weight and balance. So more hands on these days. -
important papers are the LAEs (even though its a whole lot of wayang too)
when you're in the industry, you'll only be concentrating on the aircraft type you're qualified to work on. -

Aerospace electronics is called avionics. Avionics is a specialised field of electrical engineering. You will be studying electronics if you choose avionics. It is veyr different from Aeronautical Engineering.
This is the link the undergraduate syllabus for aeronautical engineering at Imperial College. It will give an idea what to expect if you are studying aeronautics. im in my final week of aerospace electronics (they shd blardy call the course avionics, but they want it more appealing to the layman). if possible apply for the aeonautical engineering/aerospace engineering/aerospace technology courses rather than my course. more future in further studies and jobs.
to tell you the truth, my course suck and im glad im graduating in a week's time.. -
er hi all...yea i have registered for Joint admission exercise days ago and put mechatronics(COP 26) at temasek poly as my first chioce.Basically i still dun neo i did rite or not lol....coz my L1r4 was 13....i thought of going to the SP aeronautical engineering (cut-off point 13) however the lecturer there says that course was juz too specific(next time find work onli can go aerospace) for me and say my point 13 and may not be able to go in coz that course very famous/popular or wat ever shit....he psychoed me lol....in the end i felt that the mechatronics at TP also offer aerospace engineering at year 2 as an option so i choose that one lor and some more i live at simei...
basically i felt very fascinated when i see any defence wepons...examples...guns,tanks,fighter jets,submarines ETC....i finally know that i wan to develop weapons or build weapons for singapore next time.....juz like the work of the people at ST kinetic(something like that)....hmm...but i see onli E aerospace in poly is linked to my interest...SP lecturers suggested to me go mechanical engineering(COP 26)...however there wasnt any interesting things to learn there....so i choosed mechatronics at TP (COP26) as theres aerospace engineering lol and nearer to my house...
could anyone tell me if i have choosen my rite path???lol thanks

What's wrong with FE? Flight Engineers are aircraft technicians who double as Aircrew Specialist in Chinooks. They are combat soldiers too. i think the standard over here at TP for aerospace in mechatronics has been lowered because of us
the test paper was damn hard and now i think they lowered the standard -

electronics are all taken at yr 1 level
during yr 1, u wun be touching anything on aerospace...all are common subjects like basic electronics and circuit analysis and maths
from yr 2 onwards, u are allowed to choose the type of elective subjects u wan..robotics, virtual reality or Aerospace. After which, if u got into AE, den u will study some material science and thermal fluid studies in yr 2..
in yr 3, after completing your attachment, you will be studying subjects like aircraft propulsions, aerodynamics, airworthiness admin and human factors.
I not sure about the aerospace course over in SP

wat if i tell u there's only 3 gals out of the 69 aerospace students?
but tis is based on my batch lah..nxt batch maybe more or less gals...who knows? -
haha me second batch and therse is about 7 girls out of the whole aerospace course. Should be happy that there are 3 in my class. It makes my class somewhat civilised.
Btw...you wun become gay. But you may find yourself turning into a multicolour werewolf.
And one more thing...if you are think that this course allows you to design aircraft, you are wrong. It teaches you on how to maintain aircrafts. Hence the 14 caas exemptions. if you wnt to design aircraft you better go and get a degree. -
yea...i planning to get a degree after E course...heard alot of people went to australia after that course to take a degree course....
then i really wonder how the boys get to know their girlfriends there....hmmm is there alot of foreigners...wa then competitions will be high lor....how many percentage foreigners ar????

hmmm if you talk about diploma cert wise, if you want to be a licensed aircraft engineer, sp has an advantage, becos it has alot of examptions from the caas papers. For most TP people i heard that they have to pay to for their own caas examinations. But if you are talking about degree, both are about the same.
