you must tell him, it is a PERMANANT solution to a TEMPORARY situation!!!
even if he dies,the situation doesnt change.
he needs to have hope..let him now its not the end of everything..i have a suggestion,u know any church people?maybe can get him to attend church service,who knows he might feel better. (not trying to preach here although im a christian) but sometimes attending church helps.

and you know what, drx, you should NEVER tell a person to go n die (esp when hes already depressed)coz you never know what will happen.The person might juz take your comment seriously n really go n die.

No offence, but I think the best people to help him would be professional counsellors, Not churches. We can all say that "God is with you", but really, would it be of any help? Apart from knowing that, then what? : )
Perhaps the church could come in to help later in terms of support. But currently, he needs a SOLUTION to his problems, Not simply to know God is with him & that's the end of it.

Yes, there're kids who've persevered & managed to make good despite the adversities, but Not every child is strong. You hafta realise that this person is still young, & problems of this magnitude are difficult to handle.
Suggest we try to help the friend by giving constructive advice : )

yah...but why i said this is that many people have found hope after that attended church...is like..you never know how God might work..maybe he will find a new strength after attending church.

Advice given by pup and his friends helped him to get him out of it once , twice and how many more times?
I have put myself in his shoes thats why i do not want him to keep leaning on pup and his friends for support.
I want pup to wake him up and fight for a better life for himself.

I know how it is like to feel suicidal, just went thru it a few weeks back in fact...and if not because some people here have been listening to me and giving me good advice, god knows what would have happened to me now.
I think for now, your friend needs a listening ear, and if can, try to persuade him to go seek professional help. At such a young age, it is not advisable for him to handle this all alone. He might get into confusion and really kill himself at the spur of the moment...

I think this is a very dangerous thought...I would feel very disappointed if my friends thought this way when I approach them for help...so puppy, this is your time to show that you are his true friend. I know you can't help much, but try to get him to seek counselling, someone whom he can talk to and help him get thru this mess... -

It's not cry for few months.. You will feel guilty for the rest of your life.
What if he really died just because of something u said. Do you want to risk it?
What you can do doesn't mean everyone can do the same too.

he knows i give in easily...

one of the weeks i drop by..i see him playing his gameboy...nothing wrong..but i asked him..u done your revision..he said ya...study for 2 hours, play for 3 hours
I had to burn midnight oil and dinner and sometimes forsaking sleep 2 weeks before my Os and hes complaining why his result so lousy -
