but what do u want me to do now?Originally posted by FeowFeow:Ok Pup, if you seriously think your friend does Not need help, & is using his problems as a shield, then why do you post here & ask for our advice? Are you here to rant, or to seek advice on how to help your friend?
YOU got outta the suicidal depression. GOOD ON YOU. But Not everybody is as strong as you despite your tender age. Can you understand that?
If teens were all as strong as you, then there wouldn't be so many cases in the world of teenage suicide.
If your friend doesn't wanna consult a teacher, you can speak to a teacher on his behalf if you're concerned enough.
This is my last take on this subject. Whether you wanna help your friend enough or Not is up to you. It's Not my friend. I know what I'd do if 1 of my friends was in trouble like this.

agreed.... going to church, joining in their "cell groups" gives him a sense of belonging, the feel that if there's things he can't handle, someone Up there or in the group can help him deal...Originally posted by Pommes frites:pup, think you must encourage him, coz sometimes when things gets overwheming, committing suicide seems to be the best way...
BUT
you must tell him, it is a PERMANANT solution to a TEMPORARY situation!!!
even if he dies, the situation doesnt change.
he needs to have hope..let him now its not the end of everything..i have a suggestion,u know any church people?maybe can get him to attend church service, who knows he might feel better. (not trying to preach here although im a christian) but sometimes attending church helps.![]()

At first when I saw the first post that pup post regarding his friend, my first impression of his friend is he came from a family that is poor, where domestic violence is the norm and suffering from depression.Originally posted by StarPuppy:look..he wants to end his life for the past 2 years..everytime he got depressed, i had to talk to him
like, my fren loan him PS2 for his birthday..at first he asked me for games...i said cannot lend..then i see his sad face..i have to loan it to him (became give)
he knows i give in easily...
the point is not this...the point is..he complains..why ppl have a PS, why he dun have...moan moan..den one of my classmates loan (gave it to him)... i told him..dun play the PS near O lvls..he said ok, i will control
one of the weeks i drop by..i see him playing his gameboy...nothing wrong..but i asked him..u done your revision..he said ya...study for 2 hours, play for 3 hours
I had to burn midnight oil and dinner and sometimes forsaking sleep 2 weeks before my Os and hes complaining why his result so lousy

Sounds like the majority of common folks living in this world.Originally posted by NekoRin:At first when I saw the first post that pup post regarding his friend, my first impression of his friend is he came from a family that is poor, where domestic violence is the norm and suffering from depression.
But my impression changed from this post. It seems that... true that he is depressed but he is not making the effort himself to lift himself and his family out of this situation. Poor yes, but those hours of playing games on consoles could be spent on studying hard or taking up odd jobs to make more money and perhaps can help out with the family expenses alittle. $10 wages for 3hours is not much if for a Macdonalds worker but a $10 can still provide some decent dishes for the whole family. This is where I see is contradictory here, someone whom is depressed, wants a solution and willing to work hard to that compared to someone whom is depressed, wants a solution but also want to just sit there complain and complain until it happen miraculously.
