U just need to take out yr courage and try approach and talk to them.If u not yantao,rich. Guys always need to do the hardwork of courting the gal but I can assure u,it is very rewarding and can have a sense of satisfaction when u succeed.
If in a event/function,talk abt the event,if in school,talk abt school work,if in work try talk abt work...If nothing in common,harmless sacastic remark of her is a good way to break the ice and understand them better!

I think, ultimately.. girls wld like to settle down with someone who is capable of supporting her, have peaceful life.
Dun say abt girls being materialistic lah.. In SG, if ur (a guy) income is no good, U alone cant even juggle properly..
Moreover, it've always been the guy's job to earn & protect his girl, since dino times.. Technology does improve, ppl upgrade, something become advance.. but this set of theory still apply.
