whats the course that your studying in poly? is it something that interest you?
if your failing in poly currently, what makes you so sure that you will do well in jc if you still take the same course like in poly?
within this time to the end of this sem, try to think and find out what is your true passion, so as to make life easier for you, as when your learning your passion, you will be keen to always improve yourself and asking more questions rather then struggling in class to catch up with your classmates.
anyway, your a lady, be it how long you take, you still have an advantage over the guys right? -

A word of advice for u: govt sectors dun really recognise private degrees, but if u working in private sectors probably will not be a problem. -

i have looked into that possibility, and i know the private dip is a uk recognised internationally and with that dip, if i go for a exam with MAS and pass the test then i get to work for Singapore. As in civil sector, why do i have to worry?
if govt don't want me, i can work for private banks, or work for myself.
Afterall the dip that i am taking is wealth related, so definately it wil come in handy.

since this is my life, and i'm the one supporting myself in sch fees, my personal allowances, and others, i don't think my mother will nag.
and in fact i am kind of surprise that she indeed didnt nag at me..hehe..perhaps because i have told her my alternative route already.

i suggest that you go to your sch's respective website, find out more about the modules that you will be taking for this semester as well as the next year, ask a few of your seniors also.
if you think you don't like it after hearing from them, then drop if you feel like it, but you have to be sure, you have another path waiting for you to start, before you jump out of poly

if you have no problems with money, then ask if your parents can send you overseas to study in either a college or a degree with just an O lvl cert -
don quit ur poly...get it over and done with...its what u choose to do so there is no point regreting now...make the best outta wat u hv...nobody said life is abt hv-in everything ur way...life is lidat...nobody likes to study but everyone hv to study...cuz the know its important for their future...since u already start don quit...wat if u change already den after tad u wanna change again?...it'll never end...out of 10 ppl tad say they enter the course they wan bcuz of interest...onli 1 person maintain the interest throughout his life in tad course...anyway...it is not easier in getting a job even if u change...the poly's cert has more "market value" since onli those tad can't get into poly go to those kinda places to get thier de-plo-ma-s....stay on and work hard...stop thinking of quiting...JIA YOU...all the best

i choose this course, because of yr 3, not yr 2, since now i am taking yr 2, its the modules which i have no interest in, and never will in my life, i even have the feeling that i am gonna repeat at least 2 out of 4 modules that i am taking currently. instead of wasting time, doing something that i hate, in future, grumbling bout the job i'm doing, stress, drepression comes in after that, why can't i settle for something that i enjoy doing?
stay on and work hard...stop thinking of quiting...JIA YOU...all the best

...i didn't know tad...budden...there are realli very seldom cases where ppl are doing wat they love to do la...budden if u realli went into the course u don like bcuz 2 years back u got no choice den u realli wanna change den think seriously abt it lo...i hv a cousin tad was in around the same situation as u...he repeat O level and even after he repeat he oso don hv much choices and he did wat think of doing wat u wanna do now budden he told himself to make the best outta wat he hv and studied on...anyway...its juz a small comment...u should realli think seroiusly abt it...realli seriously...godd luck -

but after lots of set backs happen to me, ever since i started to support myself financially a yr ago at the age of 18, i have told myself not to force myself to do things against my will. Its' the number of experiences (being back-stabbed, being cheated of my money) of setbacks which made me who i am today.
i hope you will be lead your own life with your own decision soon.

Im also interested in finance and wealth. Im currently in a course which has nothing much to do with. I only chose it because of its 3rd year modules which is business and finance related.
Im currently suffering like hell in poly becos the modules I study now are enginering and architectural related.
Bu I intend to use my diploma cert as a stepping stone and progress wth a business degree from either SMU or NUS. Somehow, I dont think withdrawing was a good choice, but since you did it, I dont think you should regret it. Just stick to your plan and become the next Adam Khoo! -

if you choose the first choice which is to do something that you don't like, normally they die faster, my sixth sense tells me so, not sure how true it is, but somehow, somewhere, i think..
