to tell you not to be affected is impossible cos afterall it forms part of your life/living....
but its good to be resilience if possible, cos afterall whether u scream, boil or whatever, u can't change the situation esp when its something done by the adults
poor you to have to put up all this....
yes please be strong, like all said, study well cos it will help you find better job in near future and be financially independent to take care of yourself.

I emphathize with you. when ur family situation is complicated like that, you just can't find an outlet.. u feel as if no one understands you or can help you - they either don't believe you, don't want to get involved, or don't know how to help..
I've only just pulled through a patch just as rough as yours.. I don't profess to know all your problems or be able to offer a eureka solution, but I'd like to share with u some of the things which prevented me from losing touch with myself, hopefully they will be of some use to u :
- Get out and meet more people.. surround yourself with friends, positive people whom u can relate to (non-family matters) and enjoy doing the simplest things with.. because sometimes when family life is so complicated, you just need something simple and untainted in your life to keep your spirit up. U could even take a part time job, get to know more ppl
- Find a healthy hobby.. eat right. When u look good, u feel good. Although for me, it was internet gaming and irregular meals... I was too lazy & pampered to break a sweat though I knew it would've helped :\
- Make a conscious effort to do a little something for someone/some good cause every now and then. When i was stranded in Australia, i saved a cat from being put down (adopted her), donated to the RSPCA, and helped relocate other unfortunate pets.. these are small things, but it did wonders for my soul .. that little bit of love was probably my biggest refuge from all the madness that was going on around me, and it kept the self-pity away.

And Dad's business isin't quite going well, and because of the world cup, the losses amount to about hundreds of thousands.
Lucky he can still hold out.
I think the only thing good is that out of this is that I will gain another sibling, and that I managed to tell my daddy that i wanted to quit poly for jc. Surprisingly he didn't flare up and explode.
Gosh.
The court date is approaching.
Dad assures me that he will get a fine only.
What if he gets a jail term???????????????

My only 2 cents is that you try do what you think is right for your life, your father has to live with his own life. Main thing is you have to stand on your own legs before worrying about your family.

If ur dad really abused ur step mom, then he has to be responsible. If he did not do it, then you dun have to worry too much.
No offence, but is it possible for you to talk to ur dad? You are still so young, and you already have already called how many ple mum.. i think it's not healthy for you. Why did ur parents divorce? Bcos he had another woman outside? -
