  Your intention is well but you have promised her not to tell anyone (not even yr parents) abt her bckgnd. You just have to wait some time to let her cool down then find her and apologise sincerely.
  
  A small PS: If one cannot be entrusted with a small task, how can one be entrusted with bigger tasks in the future?
