i was reading Retire Young Retire Rich by Robert Kiyosaki and watched a show on television on a story based on Charity of a quest to search for Bone Marrows doners to help saves lives.
Than I relate it to the problems that every one has thus a thread pop out.
It's not specific cause every one has their own problems, and I happen to seen and went through all the problems so I just wrote this thread.
Problems are everywhere, how to solve it is the key*.
Back to the book by Robert, as to why my thread is too general - Many people go to sch to get education, they know what they learnt for that day, but how does that knowledge helps them when they step into society?

Example : Go to class, parents will natually ask kids, 'What did you learn today?' Than the reply will be 'I learnt blah blah blah'
If you go to a seminar, whereby it's usually expensive just for a few days, but those few days of knowledge are taught more on context, to increase our ability to increase in Wealth. So usually people who gone through seminars were asked 'what did you learnt?' The person will reply, 'well too much til I can't really tell you.'
Context is similar to Reality.
Example:
Poor - Work Hard, Save Money than you will be rich one day.
Rich - Build a business and let the business go on Auto-Pilot make $ for you.
Poor - You need money to make more money
Rich - You need little or no money to make more money. Chapter 17 The Leverage of Paper Assets.
What I'm trying to do here is to let people question themselves why they are still the way they are currently? How to improve themselves with some questions that might be able to help them.
So after thinking and watching the show, here i am trying to do something. Too general but it can help people. How it helps, it's up to the individual himself/herself to decide. -

What you're doing right now is a very raw state of process. Counter productive in fact.
In a nicer term, it would be considered philosophical. Only in thoughts.
What you should question is, how you could translate this thoughts to immediate concerns which will lead people to take actions.
Application. When you ask questions in good intent, people can counter question in good intent as well...so it goes round and round. I'm already beginning to see it.

1) People who are unhappy with their current lifestyle such as working or schooling and they want to doing some positive changes to their life.
2) People who often thinks and feel that they themselves are not talented in anyway, only to be looked down by others.
3) People who are not happy with the amount of wealth they have currently.
Wealth as in Monetary, Knowledge or Wisdom. I can't really help you to really increase those 3 which I've stated, but the method which I've learnt will be able to allow each individuals to help themselves to bring about those changes which they want to see themselves have.
philosophical. Only in thoughts That is correct. Many people are whom they are currently because they have this Mental Block to stop them from improving themselves. They are rejecting help even if they know it's good. I've tried it out with my friends, strange results but it's true. So what I'm doing here is to help reduce mental-block first. Which is the Brain. Have a good positive Dictionary in the Brain to be able to change themselves.
Note: I am not trying to teach anything here, just trying to share some knowledge which I have just gained by reading and watching the show. -

To me... yes life is a Competition... But no matter how competitive it is...There will always be people because of Ego.. Tend to put you down for good to feel good about themselves...I say screw them all ! And resume life normally...
The More you do Well in life...The more people will do these kind of things to you...Most important is Self confidence in whatever you do...For example...
During my lecture...Nobody dares to approach my lecturers...Some people will feel paiseh...Or afraid other people will call them a Teachers Pet or something...Why give a Damm... You're Asking the question for the benefit of YOURSELF....Not other people....
The other thing in life is... When people tend to try to bring your life Down...Be Glad...cause they feel inferior to you....Or some form or admiration... or do you still have to listen to parents, because they still supporting the children in financial support (this nobody can run away from when they still student)
than here comes the interesting part.
if you rule your own life.
than are you going to start your own business and be your own boss so you can rule your life and not listen to orders by superiors.
if you are going to start work and work for somebody, than there's no avoiding that you are still being ruled by others. Cause you still depend on them for salary. So in short, employee = no control of your own life.
if you start a business, even worse. (applicable to only those who doesn't understand the real concept of how to build a business)
there are many bosses in Singapore but how many can really be addressed as boss? Or do you see your friends who open their own small business to be the sole person - General Man/Manager In-Charge everything they handle. Work even worse than a employee, lesser paid than employee too.
If you really want to rule your own life. Do some smart business.

they know they are in poverty. Food is very precious, they often go on hungry stomach. So they know their own porblems. They just sit there wait for help from govt/other nations to donate food than they eat.
They should be proactive (habit of a millionaire - proactive) and do something about their problem. Instead of taking those food to eat, why not don't eat the food, plant those food and wait for it to grow, than when it matures, more food, it can be taken on monthly basis. (habit of a millionaire - delayed graticfication) And when they do that, they are able to turn problems into solutions and benefit more from it. (habit of a millionaire - converting problems into solutions)
you might be wondering why i say (habits of a millionaire) - that is because I am currently reading another different book written by Adam Khoo: Secrets of Self-Made Millionaire, inisde got list down the 9 habits that they should adopt so I just list some for examples as per above. -
now refering to the happiness part.
What exactly is happiness?
Happiness is a feeling that can't be bought with money. An item which Money Can't Buy.
When will we feel happy?
- when we achieve good results; be it work/school/sports
- when parents/ sons & daughters still remember each others' birthdays and celebrate for them
- when we hold a special place in a person's heart than we know we are fortunate thus many people in love feels happy
- when you get praised for doing something good; or even being awarded a Good-Citizen Award from Police for helping to nab a snatch-thief running on the streets perhaps.
- when a child is born safely into the world and the mother are also same (for married couples who just became parents themselves)
- when you achieve something that others can't achieve. (be it condo; posh-car, successful businesses, reputation (goodwill) and news spread faster, many people want to know you. = intrinsic satisfaction AKA 'Shiok' singlish for easier understanding.
- you achieve something which you never ever dreamt of / your dream come true and your hardwork paid off
- when you mix with your own group of friends (because all have the same frequencies; be it shopping or gaming you and your group share the same frequency thus feel happy chatting and going out together thus this feeling seldom can be found with parents & kids together.
- and there are many other reasons etc..
Why do we feel happy?
The feeling comes naturally.

How to deal with Happiness?
Why must we choose to be happy and not negative?
I'll just list a simple anology
If you were give a choice to decide if your luck for that day is GOOD/BAD (100% accurate guarantee+chopX2)

So when problems comes, learn to face it with joy.
Take it as a learning experience. Learn more and more than problems will no-longer be problems for you in future should you face the same problems.
But the society and behaviour of people are contridicting in Nautre!
When people are faced with failures, they accept the failure and say, I am not meant to be in either this trade/business/work than skip and find another one.
One method of approaching it is from a Victims' perspective and function (how our brain reacts accordingly), so over long term, your brain will think like a negative person, thus stoping yourself from getting rich because in the first place, you already refuse to allow better words or knowledge to sink into your mind
Example:
An average Joe wins a lottery
His usual habit is eat slp and drink no work no nothing, waste time only.
What happens is when he gets this sum of money, the amount will disappear within months, if faster will be weeks because of mis-use of funds. No right knowledge to grow the money.

Happiness comes purely from the warmth in your heart on something that ends up fine. Yes you can be happy you are No.1, but that cannot be termed as true happiness. Its purely boastful joy... and to a certain extent on someone else's misery.
I believe happiness, or pure joy cannot be expressed by merely words simply because it is as simple as that. The dictionary explained: Happiness is feeling or showing pleasure or contentment. If you get pleasure or contentment by being No.1, then to me that is just "empty" happiness. It will be gone the moment someone overtakes you as No.1.
Happiness or joy truely occurs when you really did something that gives you the fuzzy feeling and no matter what other people do, it cannot be taken away. Unless you intend for it to be thrown away.
Just my take on "happiness".

We don't only listen to our parents just because they are supporting us financially, I listen to my parents because I believe that they have been here longer than me and they know more .... the way I see it, in life, not only are we learning from our teachers in school we are also learning from our parents, friends, and people that we'll come in contact with through out the time we spend on this planet call earth.
Our life itself is a never ending lesson filled with countless questions to be asked and answered...... -

parents have eaten more salt than us - chinese saying always says that
although they might have more experience than us. but if we heed their advice and follow their food-steps
we will be in the same situation like our parents in the next few years, hanging for to a job with no future.
They have experience, education, but they lack financial education.
Many business owners are financially smart, not academically smart.

govt are trying to solve problems whereas majority of us are problem-makers. just read newspapers and see how 'good' we are in creating problems.
a lot of people have problems but dunno how to deal with it, so I want to share what i know, on how to live life to the fullest, so be it in a negative environment.
guiding people on how to look at problems positive way than eventually they will learn to be problem solvers instead of problem-makers (just refer to wan bao and u will see a lot of problem-makers in Singapore)
only when ppl know how to solve problems than will they be happy, but under Singapore working society, it's virtually Impossible to be happy, so have to guide ppl to solve their peoblems at the same time still be happy, postive mind-set.

marriage divore over $$
send old-folks to day care homes can't pay up
credit card holders failure to pay up - spending future money
students stealing due to not enough pocket money

cabbies failing to pay car-rents etc..
salary not increasing that much as per compared to increasing cost of items on food, transportation, GST, oil etc.
alot of problems originates from money. so i guess a little bit financial education will be helpful -

Come to think of it, I believe its more than financial education the general public need to know. The whole culture needs to be reset. Kiasuism, kiaseeism, family bonding, generousity, courtesy, smile, kapoism, etc, etc...
All those need to be reviewed and re-improvised. No matter how much the govt wanted to help, by putting up banners, videos, speeches and such, they will not get much result.
The "core" values have to be tackled, but how to actually start that... Well... I saw this in a certain episode of the Justice League: To impose the big laws, you have to enforce the small ones.
Incentives and punishments has got their uses and flaws. At least not everybody are robbing or murdering... but we are still littering, spitting and showing no courtesy everywhere.

9/10 will say a HDB - either 3 or 4 room flat
why is this so?
just take a look around you.
every mrt/bus stop, 95% we see all are HDBs, we are bought up in a HDB mind-set, until we really are exposed to what money can bring us, than will our mind open up more to go view condos, terrance house, semi-detach or every better stuffs.

Ever since stepping into school, this is the negative environment we are being exposed in.
Ask yourself, why is it that the rich do things so different?
the rich also have 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth and 2 ears, what's so different between them and us?
answer is - the way they THINK and HANDLE PROBLEMS, average joe looks at things negatively, the rich/millionaire mind-set person will look at the problem and try to come up with a solution to solve it instead of waiting for answers to appear by itself.
main difference -
rich mind-set = problem-solvers
poor mind-set = promblem-makers (complain and blame these and that, but don't do some soul-researching on themselves at all)Come to think of it, I believe its more than financial education the general public need to know. The whole culture needs to be reset. Kiasuism, kiaseeism, family bonding, generousity, courtesy, smile, kapoism, etc, etc...
kiasui - everything in Singapore is going up, while salary which average joe looks forward to every month isn't increase, under such circumstances, we can't really say we are kiasui - it's the survival of the fittest, even kiasui also needs to fight well other average people if not how to get the cheapest stuff?
kiasee - many don't dare or refuse to take more more responsiblites, thus they are afraid of more work-load, if do wrongly than off they go = retrenchment
from a rich-mindset, by accepting something difficult, you are taking on a leadership role, when you take up the role, take up the challenge of doing something difficult, the next time you do something average, it will be much simpler. it's just practising more and more until you know it at the back of your hand.
the successful business owners all failed dozens of times, because they know reasons contributing to failures at the back of their hand. only when you know it inside out, than can you do a task faster than others.
family bonding - how many families can really afford the time to have quality time with their own kids?
all struggling for monetary terms already, if they no income, much the less say family bonding, can't satisfy kids' needs, then kids complain say parents don't love them for they dun get what other kids can get, so what you gonna do?
earn more money la.
generousity- how can we expect to be generous when the majority are already suffering trying to meet month end's needs?
the only time a lot of ppl are generous is when charity drive with celebrities than we donate. other than that, no way man.
courtesy & smile- in the work place, no such thing already, it's not like the past when there is still the bonding between colleauges. now everything goes in the search of opportunity to get pay-increment.
when you smile at people, inside their heart, they feel 'this person is up to no good, must be caution of him/her if not will be back-stab, have to protect my job.
kapoism- if you don't know what the peers are saying of you, or be it in fashion, you'll be marked "out-dated" and no-one (those materalistic character) will want to mix with you. you have got to be on the same frequency with them to speak their language there's a saying that's why you have to be K.P.O unless you are 100% confident you are earn more than them, climb the corporate ladder faster without being stabbed or you do a 100% confirm profit business, by you need not be K.P.O.
but in business, also have to be kapo - better term will be Market-Research/Survery to know the demand and need before you go into the marketAll those need to be reviewed and re-improvised. No matter how much the govt wanted to help, by putting up banners, videos, speeches and such, they will not get much result.
"core-values"
in the past 1980s tv shows, most are about helping one another, thinking and help neighbours, promoting friendly ties, which is why old aunties can get to know more auties and chat up easily. coz they are in that era!! if you were to watch 'Tofu Street' the show, although it's kind of old-fashion show, but it's meaniful in a way or another.
whereas we are not!! what the tv shows currently is what I personally view as "rubbish" (no offence but just my own thinking)
why i say "rubbish" coz if you look at the shows currently, it's either fighting for a better life, spending future money, over-use of credit cards, if not showing marriage failures, bankrupt etc, or even worse fighting. now i rather read newspapers or use the net read channel news asia webby or watch CNA channel unless got comedies than i watch
most tv shows are what i termed as "clouding our reality, making us idolize a person, even when they wins the competion, what do you get from them wining - money? will you get a few days off from work just because u support them? no-matter how successful they are, also none-of-our-BUSINESS!!
(No-Offence, but I was one of those going after idols when i was young, thus I understand the satisfaction of getting up close with idols. but lets be REALISTIC!!)

unless our standard of living increase if not the cost of living decrease (which is impossible) than we can be generous and go back to the 1980s-1990s that year range to be even happy although we aren't rich, that's the bonding, but as the society develops, everything needs money, the price that we paid are our relationship as in bonding, opening up chatting with strangers.
in the past, its amazing to see strangers willing to talk, now you want to find this breed of people, they view you as ailen already.The "core" values have to be tackled, but how to actually start that... Well... I saw this in a certain episode of the Justice League: To impose the big laws, you have to enforce the small ones.
enforce small ones doesn't start with the govt, it's based on individual assessment of how they want to start with their core values.
not up to the govt, it's the brain that controls our attitude, our behaviour, our mentaily. Unless we do something about how we think - Must be Positive la, if not what will be like now - bad Core Values will always still remain as it is.Incentives and punishments has got their uses and flaws. At least not everybody are robbing or murdering... but we are still littering, spitting and showing no courtesy everywhere.
how much are these courtesy worth these days?
how many people will really hold on to a litter and dump it into the litter-bin?
i myself do, but when i cant spot a litter-bin within my 100m radius, i also dump it elsewhere.
little ppl have integrity as compared to before already.
govt wants to prevent terroist bombing, but why keep so many rubbish bin away causing a lot of ppl to litter?
murdering or robbing, under Singapore Law so strict, they will be a fool to do unless they seeking death than i got nothing to say.Why I get da feeling dis post I put is better off in Speaker's corner than here har...?
